The lottery says it can happen, but you almost never see it. In fact, I've never to this point seen it happen.

After I posted the Wild Wednesday numbers for the Massachusetts Lottery Super 50/50 Raffle yesterday, I got an e-mail from a reader asking about the number 0016847, which also appeared in the May 8th results.

I wrote this morning to the Mass. Lottery and they confirmed that the rules state:
