I must have misunderstood what you wanted. if you want the result to be 1 then try this formula in cell K1 =if(e1+3 35,1,(e1+3))

you can read this as if e1 +3 greater than 35 then display the value 1 otherwise display the sum of e1 + 3

you would probably also want the formula in cell k1 adjust the references appropiately

Ok I want to take A1-E1 +3 to each one and place in G1-K1 but none can be over 35 such as E1. So I was just trying to find how to make it start again at 1 but its over my head! LOL Ty phileight for trying to help.

in excel I would use =mod(a1+b1,35) this assumes your two values are in cells a1 and b1 and that your max value is 35. I understand most things work the same in open office, but I can't confirm that.

How can I add a number in open office without going over a limit? Let me explain.. say I want to add 3 to 35 but 35 is my top number so I want it to be 35+3=3. It just starts back at 1. Hope it makes sense lol
