Slight.... possibility, but highly unlikely.

This is most likely a person playing the same numbers twice. When 2 Step gets over $400,000, it's not uncommon for 2 or more winners. So this winner figured he would play the same numbers twice to snag a bigger share of the prize.

I sometimes buy 2 of the same tickets in Powerball and Mega Millions when the jackpot gets well over 100 million...Logic being that I keep one winning ticket for myself and my family splits the other winning ticket.

They may have put the 24 numbers into four groups of six and played the six lines those groups create. By default if one line matches 12 numbers the another line will match 0. Match 8 and you'll have a 4 number match too. The cost is $12 a drawing, but any prize won is guaranteed to double.

I see this occasionally with Cash 5. A player plays the same numbers multiple times so if the jackpot is split between players they get a larger amount. I don't remember someone doing this with Texas 2 Step before though.

This is a funny game. I play every draw, and last year I won $5 for the whole year. $5.

I'm doing better this year but man, for the odds this game has, it's not too easy to win.

This happened before. Someone got 5+0 PB and she bought five lines. Same white balls but different red balls. She collected 5 millions I think.
