I'm confused. I thought the set prizes were paid by whichever state the prize was won in.

Does this mean PowerBall has an extra fund to help states pay prizes they don't have the funds for? They haven't helped California from what I've seen.

On August 28th, 2012, Florida Fantasy Five had 98 winners each winning $1,995. The numbers were 1, 3, 5, 7, 9. The night before 2 people won $90k, and the night after 3 people won $75k

I wouldn't mind 9999 white balls with the numbers 1-9 written on them (so 1111 1s, 1111 2s, 1111 9s, etc) abd 999 color balls with 1-9.

Found an old Powerball game change law. I assume that today's matrix follows the same priorities:

(iii) Section 871.20(g). The games could go bankrupt in theory and it is a possibility because they are way too easy to win. That's why what MM is doing by upping the odds is a good thing.

I still think there needs to be an uber hard MUSL game where it's a 7+1 draw with 9,999 white balls and 999 color balls. This would not be too easy to win.

BTW, does anyone know where they take the money from to pay out prizes if the rollovers haven't accumulated enough money to pay out the prizes won (it gets won in one of the early jackpots)? Does it lead to lower jackpots for the new starting jackpot of $40 million (and each rollover from then on)? Do they have a reserve fund from unclaimed expired prizes that they use towards them

Worse than that, those who get 1 2 3 4 5 but miss the powerball would win a guaranteed 1 millions each, except in CA where the prize is shared.

Yeah cant believe this. 3 winners?? It sounds a little bit too off to be true plus that many 1M winners. Alot of people got lucky today or somethings up.

There was a similar drawing on 8/8/2012 which had really low numbers nobody hit it.
