Any set I play, all I have to do is play the leftovers and if my set wins the leftover set wins as well. NOBODY at lottery headquarters thought of this?

I'm guessing they noticed all even and all odd and high/low are getting lots of play and they're thinking about their image (and their bottom line) if those combinations are drawn. If a large number of players are playing the leftover set too it could effect their bottom line in the future.

Lucky they didn't discover this fatal flaw mont... [ More ]

I read about that in the commission's meeting minutes. The thing I would hate about it is that we won't be able to pick which draw to play. Now with P3 and P4 you can fill out your playslip to play day or night for multiple draws. When this change kicks in, you will lose this option. I believe the playslips will be set up like the All or Nothing playslips are now.

I hope I'm wrong on that. I hate having to run to the store every day if I just want to play one or two draws, or just day or nigh... [ More ]

TLC seems to be in a mood to shake things up - I read a report on another site that Texas Pick 3 and Daily 4 will be increased to FOUR draws a day later this year, similar to the All Or Nothing schedule. Wonder how that would go over with players' strategies and weekly budgets.

When/if they do resume selling tickets for this game, they have to make some major rule changes. Such a simple idea you would think TLC had already figured it out.

If I play all even and all odd, and all even wins 12 of 12, then all odd wins too (0 of 12). Any set I play, all I have to do is play the leftovers and if my set wins the leftover set wins as well.

NOBODY at lottery headquarters thought of this?

Guess that winner in Moultons taught them a thing or two about common sense.

L... [ More ]

I had noticed that too. Intially, they had listed 3 winners for that draw, then changed it to 2 winners.

I had thought about doing the same thing. Play all even on one tic, and all odd on another.

I'm kinda getting fed up with Texas Lottery Commission. I can't believe how they are just ruining Lotto and Cash 5.

I think the All or Nothing drawing on 5/23/2013 raised quite a few eyebrows from the TLC. Somebody in Moulton, Texas hit it both ways without a Quick Pick. That person hit both 12 of 12 and 0 of 12 in the same drawing. Talk about hitting the TLC where it hurts ....ouch! After that drawing I knew something might happen very quickly to gut that game.

They have boxes for all even/odd and high/low on their play slips so they created the possibility of several jackpot winners. And because of the game structure, some players will play the opposite numbers and could double a jackpot win.

They advertise a $250,000 jackpot, the play slips suggests playing even/odd or high/low, but now they're saying they can't pay all the winners the advertised jackpot.

Why didn't they run a Monte Carlo simulation?

Better yet, they should have run a 30 year backtest using 5000 people with one QP each day.

Oh wait! Maybe they DID!

That would explain a lot.

It looks like they want to limit how much a player or players can wager on certain numbers. Just like certain numbers in P3 and P4 can be sold out and sales stopped for that particular number. Think 911 on September 11th. For example, I like to play all even when I played this game. Now there might be someone who plays 5 or more tickets that are all even for one draw. A win like that would put a major dent in the lottery commission's wallet.

It's all about hiding another bobblehead move by the TLC. The Two Step starts out at $200,000 and can get as high as $1,000,000 on the same odds for $1 play. I stopped playing the All or Nothing game because of the $2 price point and the high odds that stays at $250,000 for the top prize.

Just to break even on a $2 bet, you have to battle 1:11 odds.

On the Cash 5 game, you bet a $1 and you have a 1:9 chance t... [ More ]
