As far as leftovers in a restaurant I am a small person and only eat half of what is served.

I believe most people completely misinterpreted the topic. I don't believe anyone would continue to use Wal-Mart as their sole, one-stop-shop for all things as there are better quality offerings for a given product elsewhere. However, for the most part, there's absolutely nothing wrong with shopping at the Wally for most things at a given time. In all honesty, the store carries lots of the same products as other mainstream stores at a lower price.

I'm curious now. I hadn't ever stopped in the store close to his house, and was impressed with how nice it was.

I've noticed that with Winn Dixie. I have an orange handbag from there and I swear that more than 10 people this week told me how much they like it. When my first book came out, all I cared was that Target carried it and they picked it up after a couple of months (I did not care about all the other places that sell it...lol). To me that was the biggest thrill. Still is

It depends on the Walmart. In the same city a few miles apart you can have a huge, very brightly lit, very clean, very tidy, very orderly Walmart and a few miles down the road you can have the dark, dingy, dirty Walmart.

I found the same to be true with Kroger and Winn Dixie. Some chains are just like that.

But yeah, some things you need to go up a notch and get from Target or Burlington instead. There is this kind of high end Salvation army in my area and they have a special room of ceramics and glass and old books and collectibles. Amazing stuff. And I always check out the paintings looking for that Picasso. I would never give up my 2-3 visits a year here. It is an adventure.
