If you were to inspect mondays all states draws the groups were within about 6 to 8 percent of the fixed percentage of the 220 box combinations. Will no doubt balance out with future draws.

As you can see South Carolina mid-day is pretty close ( it will balance out) to being in balance percentage wise with the 220 combination percentages.

Cover your bases percentage wise in your list.

I will use an example that is standard in the game without making it confusing for some.

I will use a states breakdown for the last 60 days.

If you do 30 selections for example

groups

HHL about 11 numbers

HLL about 8 numbers

LLL about 6 numbers

HHH about 5 numbers

Then factor in the below percentages in each group above.

EEE 19.3%

EEO 33.3%

EOO 31.6%

OOO 15.8%

With that you are covering your percentages from highest probable to lowest probable in each grou... [ More ]

If you break it down in terms of odds create your list of numbers in proportion to the odds factor in each group.

That way you are not focusing on one particular group to hit.

Make your best choice in each group to fill the percentage of numbers needed in a group.

You started an interesting topic and I would like to chip in some comments which potential power players may find useful.

I've always been in favor of playing many tickets for every draw, be it Pick 3 or other lotteries. This always increases chances for winning and allows for applying additional strategies which may further increase winning prospects.

These are good weekly numbers, I got them from somewhere's, and at least in North Carolina, they

hit every week, sometimes 2 or 3 times, for instance on 6-21 mid, 101 hit, straight,

then the following day, 358 hit, boxed, mid day,

I have a feeling these are good numbers that are good for all states, just my saying, but check it out,

25 combos is not for the average wager ($5/day), I think the ' thread' is targeted to guys with deep bankroll, but will not be cost-effective overtime. I have a different approach,i don't subscribe to the law of large numbers, number of hits but rather how much I want to win(Prize ratio). Focus on how much you want to win and your picks become lesser and lesser.

How many numbers to play? Hmmm, well, I believe two additional questions may assist with the answer to this one. (1) What type of hit is the player trying to accomplish? (2) How often is the player trying to re-produce that same hit? Then, there's also the issue of the houses's odds where the player is wagering...makes a difference. Its cheaper to work on a particular state and use the trend of hot digits ,due roots etc. and in the long term this means more wins. As an example the 11 pair hit last week in NM and hit again last night. I think anticipating digits in this manner and keeping a close eye on what has hit is a far more effective tool instead of throwing $25 a pop and hoping to win.

Your right .....we do need to check out this angle of the game.

Here's another angle to consider..... Is it better to play 25 tickets per day .....or ......175 all at one time? I think it really does not matter ...ODDS wise that is.

We played a little experiment here at LP years ago.... using ALL the pick 3 games and trying a static group of single Boxes.

If we break it down in terms of ODDS...... how many numbers must we play....... to win at least once a week in pick- 3 ?

If..... we playone single box number each day we will win on average........ every 166 days.

So, if you want to win around once a week how many should we play each day? At least25 box singles a day.

P.S. * That's if you consider hitting a box number a win. Win Money $$ wise ...you have to figure that separately.
