What keeps me motivated to keep playing despite fact most I have ever won is $150 on a given play?

If I stop playing, then I have absolutely ZERO chance of winning. If I at least maintain a play for every Powerball and Mega Millions drawing, I at least have 1 chance in so many hundred million to win. That chance of winning is what keeps me playing though I do not bank on winning.

knowing full well the team sucks but your a loyal fan, you keep going to the game, just hoping

for a win every now and again, may not make it to the championships but the small wins along

It always feels good knowing that someone else is paying some bills, buying the grub, or footing the tab for a night out on the town from time to time. The losses and gains part is questionable, though, in my opinion.

I guess it depends on how we view spent money because in reality, our next bet is simply one bet. When someone buys their first pack of cigarettes, they probably don't think it will turn into a pack-a-day habit that might cost them $15,000 over the next 10 years in some places. And I doubt any first time lottery player visions that it may turn into a $4 a day habit either. Anyone can review their spending habits on anything over the past 10 years and conclude it wasn't money well spent.

It's the dream of winning enough money where I no longer would have to work until I die. I've always been realistic enough to know it's just a pipe dream to actually win the lottery but that doesn't stop me from trying (in a responsible way). I've always said that I would be happy winning any amount. Even if it isn't enough to retire on it would make my life easier.

I personally enjoy the roller coaster ride of playing the numbers .

From the disappointment of not picking the right numbers to feeling hopeless that I might never pick the right numbers.

Then the acceptance that I can keep trying to the appreciation of tracking the numbers, looking for patterns, then picking new numbers.

Finally there is the excitement of filling out the slip and thinking that one of these lines might be the one that changes everything!

What keeps me motivated? The excitement that I could be financially set for life with the next drawing. If I don't play, I **KNOW** that my finances tomorrow will be the same as today. Can't win if you don't play!

Besides, I just feel like with all the numbers that are drawn over a month's, a year's, or a decade's time, sooner or later, they're gonna be the same numbers that I am playing.

Being high on hope. Having the thought in the back of my mind that this ticket I just bought could be a big winner, and having a couple days till the drawing to relish the feeling. Knowing that all it takes is one ticket to win, and that buying that chance doesn't adversely affect my life or my financial situation. Why would I NOT keep buying tickets

The fact that eventually the number will fall and the cycle starts over again, the adrenaline knowing that you could possibly win more then you paid out becomes a reality.
