Sorry for the late reply.

I do. You said it nicely. Although, payouts are lower only if you get box (with singles).

So, for my gameplay, I use a cost effective approach and play doubles, str/box bet.

That way, doubles always pay out more and it's much easier to hit it straight with a double. It's a win-win, in my opinion. :)

So you don't use the straight/box bet? Seems as though its a nice way to hedge you bet cause you'll win even if your numbers don't come in straight even though the payout is lower.

Hey ReptiJ,

If you're new to the Pick 3 game, always start off small. Place $.50 box bets when starting out.

When you start winning, use your OPM (others people's money) to place higher bets:

Combos, straights and pairs.

Straight play, in exact order, pays out $500.

Box play, in any order, pays out $40 ($.50 bet) for singles and $80 ($.50 bet) for doubles.

$80 for singles when placing a $1.00 bet and $160 for doubles when placing a $1.00 bet.

I'm curious how everyone is betting on these pick3 games. Here in NY we can bet Box, Straight, box/straight, combo, 3way, 6way, doubles first2 or last2, and sums. Now I am very new to pick3 and I am not sure how I should do this. So I'm curious what betting strategies others are using. Any help would be great thanks
