I once drove from Chicago to eastern Iowa just so I could play Hot Lotto...also used to drive as OTR truck driver and would get to Iowa every week that way too. It has been a long time since I last passed through Iowa and I don't see that changing anytime soon. I just hope the Ohio Classic Lotto keeps rolling over until mid August...that should get it up near $50 million. Then I can win that and retire from playing the lottery! As it was the Hot Lotto was hard to win when it had 1-39 1-19 and now with the added numbers up to 1-47 that is a big jump more number harder to win.

I love hot lotto. The jackpot always increases painfully slow. I get the Hotball or/and one or 2 other numbers quite a bit. It seems a bit more predictable to guess some numbers at least. It is the best deal around for $1.

Me too! Idaho has a promo, buy a $5 HL ticket and get a voucher for an entry into a 2nd chance drawing for some beef. So I did that last draw and matched the Hot Ball twice for a $4 win.

I don't think I'll spend that much on the upcoming drawing -- maybe $3.
