Nobody did the research to find out the actual size of the World's smallest lottery jackpot so maybe it was 46 cents that was once a nice size jackpot split thousands of different ways.

I guess some members just can't take constructive criticism very well and rather argue about the critics than to give an example of what type of jackpot and game they want to discuss. Is it the fault of the knowlegible membership that players don't come forward to claim free tickets or any other tiny prizes?

I thought you said funny was welcomed?

There is a $16 mil PB jackpot that expires Thursday- how are these things allowed to happen?

The committee apparently believes the lotteries some how control what people do with their tickets before the drawing by allowing them to put them somewhere that will remain out of sight until after the validation deadline.

You know, If i was a billionaire, and I won a $5000 dollar straight playing one of the baby games, then I might not bother to claim it. Especially if i was home and had some diarreaha after eating some especially spicy kungpo chicken and curry shrimp then i might not want to go claim it at all.

Maybe send it str8 to charity, do not pass go.

I use to drive to Indiana to get PB tickets before it came to Ohio but Ohio hasn't had a game that attracted out of state players since its Super Lotto Plus game so that must have been a long time ago.

Neighboring states getting PB ended the big jackpots of Ohio's Super Lotto Plus, it needed out of state players to grow the jackpot $4M after each drawing.

A few years back before Texas got PB, I drove to OK and bought some tics. Won a couple bucks or whatever just the powerball paid, and I never took the time to drive back up there to claim it. I could have mailed it but, I just wasn't that motivated.

I wouldn't play a game that any of its prizes weren't worth claiming.

The only times I wouldn't have bother to claim a prize were when I drove out of state to play MM and PB and the winnings were less the cost to drive back but that never happened because there was always a jackpot worth making the drive again before my winning tickets expired.

During one of the jackpot fever frenzies here at LP MM was all pumed up. Somone posated that ideally what you would want to do was hit it when it went back down to the $12M start point (start at that time) before the big winner came forth to claim the' fever' jackpot.

Not a bad approach, really.

I think a few state lotteries (Pick 6) have a $1M start point, but I don't think that's too small to claim.
