I do think about the lottery a lot.

Revamping and updating charts, trying new things, trying to make it better and easier.

I rarely take a day off, but I need one. You need to time your days off too I think, otherwise it could be a very costly day off.

But when I do take a day off, I usually go down to Belmont, and put some money on the ponies, or travel up to Empire City and play the slots like a geriatric on steriods.

Skipping the daily games is really of little consequence should your luck swing in your favor while you've benched yourself. I mean, what are we talkin', 500 bucks? 1000 bucks? 10,000 bucks?

Skipping the Jackpot games, however, is a horse of a different feather. Here we're talkin' life-altering sums.

I play every jackpot game, Tx 2 Step, Lotto, PB, and MM. I did skip MM a couple weeks ago. But other than that I always have at least on tic. I can understand only playing when jackpots are high, but the problem with that is you don't get to choose if or when you might win. So even if Tx 2 Step is only $200,000, I play it, because if I win, that's get out of debt money. That alone is worth a buck.

Last year I played just about every day. This year I've scaled way back and only play once a week, depending on the games. When jackpots reset sometimes I'll go a month without playing.

I'm a clerk so I face it 5 days a week. Seeing players play 400.00 a month with 1 or 2 free tickets in the end can curb your enthusiasm. It's real life Bruce Almighty if you visit a prayer request website.

If lighting is going to strike it will have to be for a few dollars a month.

I haven't played in 2 months. I was on a bad losing streak and was tired of both losing and wasting my money. I have thought about playing recently but right now there aren't any scratch games I am interested and PB and Cash 5 JP's aren't that high. I dont really have an interest in MM anymore.

My personal opinion, and in all honesty, a smart player doesn't play these games daily anyway. Everything has its' season and this is no different...it has its' best time for playing it and being successful. You can overdue anything...especially lottery games.
