Dude, this just happened and the tears are still flowing. At 7:55 on the sunny morning of Sunday, December 7, 1941, 183 Japanese warplanes swooped out of a cloudless sky and demolished the US Pacific fleet docked at Pearl Harbor. Wait about 72 years and then you may consider doing what you did. The tears are not dried yet.

I think everyone realizes that, and to any lottery veteran it is very common to see people play numbers based on significant events in history. Births, deaths, weddings, etc. Maybe you don't realize that and feel the need to remind people that people are more than numbers.

they are just numbers...they have nothing to do with compassion, decency or whatever... No one can say it right or wrong...and by the way Nelson Mandela was more than just his death date the numbers mean nothing other than the day he died and it would be no different if we posted his birthday for the use of lotto numbers

Are you seriously upset that someone is using a date for lotto numbers?? Also arent you trivializing his LIFE by reducing it to just what numbers have corresponded with his death?? I mean the man was waaaay more than the number that correspond to his death...So it is unimportant what you think about other people using random numbers for whatever reason...it is their business and you do not have to subscribe to it....period

You should never trivialize the death of anybody. Everyone leaves loved ones behind whose hearts ache for them.

It's all about respect and compassion and simple human decency, some people just don't have any.

People have played all kinds of important dates as lottery numbers from, kids birthdays, parents birthdays, deaths, Ive heard of people playing the 9/11 date before...all are just as explotative as the next, but numbers mean different things to different people...If I won the a lottery jackpot because I played someones dod (date of death) people would really be mad mainly because they didnt think of it too, but most people wouldnt even care and think I was just lucky.
