It's pretty close to what I thought, just a little more and it'll be there.

If today's draw isn't won, you can definitely expect $1 Billion on 12/20 draw

It's just past 3PM on Monday and the estimate was bumped up to $586 million. It could still increase substantially, and I'm sure they're being conservative because sales are so much lower than past sales for jackpots in this range, but I'm not expecting anything over 650 by Tuesday night.

If it does roll, maybe sales will finally be as big as in the past, and it could reach 900 or more for Friday night. If sales remain more modest we could see 600 maximum tomorrow and only 800 or so for Frida... [ More ]

Way too low.

Tomorrow's 12/17 draw already should get bumped up to at least $650M by draw time and would likely be won.

If there is a 12/20 draw it would be projected over $1 Billion and very likely to be won.

As for a 12/24 draw, who knows what would happen. Sales cannot keep increasing exponentially forever, at some point it has to taper off. What will people do when a $1 Billion JP rolls? There is no precedent for this. Also people will be busy with other things besides Mega Millions... [ More ]

Dec. 24th - 824m to 915

1.24 BILLION after New Years
