My wife thought it was a big joke but i kept the play slip showed it to her and she laughed some more. Really made my misery much more sorrowful. But Yukon Jack has a way of numbing brain cells so i just drank more until the pain of losing went by and by. Little more than half a million after taxes would have gotten us a nice house in the country back then.

oh yea they were my step kids birth date numbers and i thought 2 of them were to low so i replaced them with higher numbers. i liked to blew my mind i went home got in front of the mirror and kicked myself in the ass a couple times polished off a fifth of Yukon Jack and walked around for a week moping and groaning.

For weeks before they had that drawing i had a dream that i was signing the paperwork at the lottery office. This was back in the 80's when Maryland had a twice a week million... [ More ]

Filled out a lottery slip, given it another look and decided that for some reason the numbers don't gel with you.So you discard that slip, fill out another and when those numbers don't come through for you that night, you start reflecting back on the original slip you filled out and tossed and wonder what if that was the winning ticket or in less cases- you won a few grand? Particularly if you did not write down those original numbers on a separate piece of paper?
