I think $300-350 million makes people aware but $500+ million will bring out the masses who rarely ever play.

This thread seems to be about the national lotteries of PowerBall and MegaMillions but I've seen the same thing happen with local lotteries as lower level when their jackpots exceeded the value of buying all their possible combinations.

For our Rolling Cash5, it's at $500K and for our Classic Lotto, it's about $50M+.

I say currently becuase the amount seems to be creeping upwards. Close to $100M used to do it but now it seems it's got to be closer to $300M before the fever sets in........I mean the fantasy If I win threads, the media, the whole nine yards.

What amount does it take now, and what about in the future?

If there ever is a $1B jackpot will that be the amount neede to trigger it from then on
