Rather than looking at whole combinations repeating why not look at parts of combinations repeating. There could be combinations of threes and fours that are repeating very frequently and if they are then you might be able to constantly get small wins which could sustain you until the big win comes.

I just want to Point out one thing. Once the Matrix of a game changes (the number of balls used in a game) so does your odds chances to winning. In the Case of the Mega Millions I posted above, the numbers I posted were from the OLD Mega Millions game more than likely will not have the same chances of hitting again due to the Matrix change. Every lottery game have number patterns that repeat but most cash5 games like my state's Rolling Cash5(5/39) have drawings every day which requires a lot of time tracking it in order to be up to date when you play.

I had resolved to play cash 5 games for at least the first few months of 2014 and see how it goes for me. Onlymoney's fictitious numbers did excite I but had nothing to do with my intention to try out Cash 5 games. I even have a thread on Pick 5 forums on my Cash 5 experience.

KY Floyd I don't see where I might have suggested 5/39 6/49 games have similar odds. One has odds of about 1:570000 and the other 1:13M odds of hitting the top prize.

You know that a 6/49 game has different odds than a 5/39 game, right?

For a game with 575,000 combinations you should expect some repeat combinations to start showing up after there have been a couple of thousand drawings. For games with a 13 million combinations that has already had 13,000 drawings there's still only a 1 in 1000 chance of a repeat on the next drawing; and only a 10% chance that it will happen within a year (assuming 2 drawings per week). You're welcome. There's a lot of misinformation being posted by some LP members, usually if it sounds too good to be true it's not.

I even recheck my own information when it sounds that good, that's the reason when rdgrnr pointed that out about my WVA infor I rechecked and found an error in the data file.

Most lottery players are looking for cheap easy ways to win and if they think they've found one they're going to do more than just talk about it.

It's not that I keep old files, it that in the format I use, all the old lottery data files are less than 100K of memory which is smaller than a file for a 4/5 picture in HD so I don't delete them.

The program to read them is what takes up the memory and since I still use the same file format today for newer games, I can still read the old ones if I can find them. Besides if I want to test a theory and need a file with some history to test it I have one. I delete old lottery programs but not... [ More ]

You're right, I hit it on Monday, Sept. 13 1993. I guess I also hit those 4 numbers you mention, I don't remember. I remember hitting a few times 4 numbers (I played more than my winning line) but it was nothing memorable in $250 (for 4 numbers) compared to $100,000.

So you keep records as old as from the '90's? Buckeye 5 is not played anymore for some years, it has been replaced by Rolling Cash 5 with different rules. What's the most you ever won

I remember 05 16 22 28 34 matching five back on 09/13/93 but it also matched 4 on 07/22/99 and 09/20/04 so maybe you gave up on it too soon, you could have gotten a couple of more match fours.

You have my deepest sympathy, I once made the mistake of driving through Kentucky to get to West Virgina, I learned later it was better to stay north of the river as long as possible. Other travelers who have been there since tell me their main roads are a lot better now.

Since the game started considerably more than 3000 of the roughly 575,000 possible combinations have been drawn as of 12/31/13. Call it 1 winning combination for every 180 possible combinations. That menas that every time thye have a drawing there's about a 1 in 180 chance of repeating a previously drawn combination. That means we should expect it to happen about twice a year.

Ohio Rolling Cash5(5/39) which is one of the five games I track with 3240 past drawings has had ten combinations repeat.

If one had started playing all its previous combinations from the beginning 10/04/04 and continued doing so until yesterday 01/02/14, they would have spent $5,247,180.00 and won part or all of ten jackpots along with 598,500 smaller prizes worth $1,550,074.00.

Rechecked it and numbers were entered for Tuesday and Wednesday and Cash5 doesn't have a drawing on Wednesday so there was only six drawings that repeated in 2013.

Quite honestly, this is a no brainer. The less the numerical range of any game, the higher the repeatability of single numbers and the respective combinations thereof. This is (1-39) which is very similar to Texas' Cash 5 with a (1-37) field. Granted, these are still large fields but still small compared to Mega and PB fields. This is also why the top payout is structured very different (low) as many people will win a prize while the top prize will also be won fairly frequently compared to MM's... [ More ]

Depends on the number pool size, it happens a lot with W.VA Cash25(6/25) too. It happened seven times in 2013 alone.
