Decided to do something stupid toay and it paid off. I bought 4 of the Silver Spectaculars in a row, first one was a $500 winner, First box was a 10X symbol for $40 and a number match for $100,the next 2 tickets were both $40 winners and the 4th one was a loser.

That's great. Never had luck on that game. I know one of the top prizes was sold in Pleasant Valley a few yrs ago.

WFL spectacular is probably the best $20 ticket,i've hit $500 on it on 3x over the past couple of years. Bought one of the new $25 tix on Friday and hit $150,a coin symbol for $50 and a number match for $100.

I would not tell anyone but my spouse if I won a big prize like that. I did not know you have to process at the store ahead of time. Is that required? If so, I would go to Wegmans or Tops so I did not have to worry about someone following me out to the car. They are usually very private about cashing tickets.

What is the purchase price on that ticket

Not sure, I think the winner can go to any retailer to have their win 'processed' (not cashed) .. then they could go to the Lottery Office to cash it in.

Here's an interesting story I just found out about ...

I stopped at my usual place today to play my numbers, and the clerk told me that yesterday a man bought a $20 Win For Life Spectacular and won the $10,000 a week for life ($10,000,000) .. I was shocked!!! I asked her if she knew the ticket number but she didn't, but she said the 3 let... [ More ]

Okay I have another questions on the winners atlas. There are 10 to 20 new winners announced every day on there along with the store at which they were purchased. But the tickets over $600 have to be redeemed at a lottery office. Those offices are not open on weekends or holidays so how are the winners announced every day? That would mean the lottery knows exactly where the winning tickets were sold even before they are redeemed, right

I've had several 25/50$ wins on the 10$ Set for life. Also did ok on the 5$ silver/gold and pay me. I'm gonna try and stick to two tics a week because it's hard to win in our State.

In less than 2 weeks I had scratch about 500 tickets of $5 and nothing.

No way! It can't be that bad. I'd quit if I went through that kind of drought.

In CA, you can expect to get something back (e.g., free ticket or lower tier prize) every 4-5 tickets on average with our $5 scratcher, although I've seen a string of 11 straight losers before, but that's on the extreme side.

That is true I just bought the 10 tickets of 20X the Cash plus 10 more of $1,500 a week for Life on a roll and guess how much I got back, NOTHING no cash...

Do you think is better to play the $10 or the $20 games. I always buy the $5 but no luck.

Also do you think is better to buy the scratch off games somewhere in Brooklyn or Queens, since I also get them in Manhattan and in Yonkers since you have more experience in the game.

The overall odds of winning aren't very good for a $20. They are on par with $5 ticket odds. But it seems like you have better odds than some states at winning a decent prize.

Hi,

I'm sort of experimenting with some ideas on ticket numbers, so far i've only been focusing on the $10 up scratch tickets.

Of course, there are no guarantees.

Here's what I look for:

#006-008, #013-016, #020-023, #040-043

If tickets are in those ranges I'll buy just one usually.

I still have to see about the $1, $2, $3, $5.

The store that I usually buy from will hang up their customers winning tickets once they're voided, so I will start looking at the numbers of those... [ More ]

I noticed that too .. and I don't know why. Also, the pulldown menu on the Instant Games atlas shows alot of games that are now defunct (ex. Loteria, Empire State Millionaire, etc ...) I'm going to dig around see if I can get any more info :)

Do you know why the winners atlas does not show ALL instant winners over $600. Only certain games are featured. I know there have been winners because the amount of 1st and 2nd place winners changes on the weekly report but the games don't show up on the atlas.

Using the Winners Atlas feature on the NYS lottery website, I'm noticing this past week had many winners on the $20 scratchers (at least around WNY), $5,000,000 Multiplier had $10,000 winner in Lockport (yesterday Jan 13) and a $600 winner in Lackawanna (Jan 9th) and another $600 winner in Williamson, NY (Jan 11)

Maxiumum Millions also had lots of $600 winners this week (Rocheseter Jan 10, Auburn NY Jan 12, Croghan NY Jan 10, Ilion NY Jan 11, Ilion NY Jan 13, Latha... [ More ]

Thanks,the Money Clip $5 tickets are TERRIBLE,10 in a row were losers,plus I played a few at other places and they were losers as well. As for the new $25 ticket,I played like 8 total,had an $80 winner and 2 $40 winners.

The odds on that $25 game are horrible. For any game $20 and up, the overall odds should be less than 1 in 3.00.
