Ohio Classic Lotto is a 6/49 game. New Jersey must sell more tickets per game than Ohio or else the players there are better at picking winners than Ohioans. Come to think of it they're better at pick PB and MM winners too.

Last Saturday's payout was $73,188.

A computer model shows that a payout about that size could have been generated without a jackpot win by selling 111,000 tickets with 13 $1500 wins(5/6), 551 $70 wins(4/6) and 7709 $2 wins(3/6).

From the odds you mention I'm thinking that's a 6/49 game.

Amazing, Jersey's 6/49 game almost never gets over 10 MILs before it's hit.

Could be they think if players see how seldom any one matches 5of6 they might give up trying to match 6of6. They do post the amounts of the total payouts so I guess they figure players can guess from that.

That info is on the odds page. It's about 259,138 out of every 259,139 winners, but only about 1 of every 54 tickets is a winner.

I like Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday. Hate Sunday because I know the next drawing is a couple days off.

My state doesn't have any good games, but I do play Wild Card 2 which is a small multistate game which makes Wed and Sat a little more fun. The JP is only around $200K and takes forever to get to a million, but you get two lines for a dollar so I think it's worth spending a dollar per draw.

Yeah, I saw that about classic... Do you have any idea why they don't post the breakdown of winners for Classic? In MM/PB they break it down, it would be interesting to see how many people win 1,500 or lower.
