yeah that happens to me too. I also pay for things with cards because I'm very dyslexic. Sometimes I am handed change, I have no idea what amount I'm supposed to get back or if I know what I'm supposed to get back, it takes me a longtime to count the change. I'd rather just swipe the card and look on my receipt to see if I was charge the right amount. I carried around cash for the first time in years the other day and I ended up losing it. I usually just have my cards. So the first time I carried cash in years and I lost it. It was nice to have cash on hand, but I think I'll stick to cards.

paying for things with plastic makes someone a pretender? You do know most credit card companies don't charge interest if you pay off the entire balance in 30 days right? Someone could pay with plastic out of convenience and pay off their balance in 30 days without needing to pay any credit card interest. I used to do this all the time when paying for gas at the gas station. I paid with plastic because it was convenient (saved me time by not having to wait in line) and I never paid an interest c... Wow, that's a lot to carry .... These days one does not have to carry much of anything with debit and credit cards... If I was a lottery winner... I would carry minimal small amount.... Less than 100-400 bucks is enough.. I would be afraid I would get robbed...

I thought he had around $500,000 in cash in his Lincoln Navigator when it was broken into at the strip club.

How much I carry would depend on what I was doing. Most of the time around $100 I guess, maybe a little more.

With all the credit card breaches going on these day, cash is becoming more appealing.

Great queston onlymoney and it reminded me of something. I see so many poor pretenders paying with plastic cards answering a call with a smart phone.

What grabs your attention is someone paying cash with a hundred and while waiting for change answers the call with a flip phone. The onlookers gaze enviously with astonishment because you know your in the midsts of the real deal. Thats a money man haha
