Based on my estimates it looks like they only sell about 300,000-400,000 tickets per drawing, sometimes fewer but the average would be about 350,000. Using a 'high' estimate of 400,000 per drawing, it would take about 75 draws before the cumulative probability topped 50/50 and over 1,000 draws before it reaches 1.00 (sure thing of a winner). Even if my estimates are wayyyyy off and they sell 3 million/drawing....it would still take nearly 140 drawings for it to be a sure thing.

It is odd that L4L has so few winners given that it's played all throughout New England, not just Massachusetts. It's probably like NY's Sweet Million: They don't get enough players to regularly have a jackpot winner, but they DO get enough players that they're making money. It's that sweet spot that makes it worth continuing the game from the lottery's perspective.

The odds for that game are 1 in 41,391,714 so I would say pretty normal if sales per draw are low. I have seen jackpots with lower odds go without a winner longer (i.e. Ohio Classic). Would really need the sales figures to calculate significance

Here in Massachusetts, we have a game called Lucky for life where the jackpot is winning $1,000.00 a day for life. 2nd prize is $25,000.00 a year for life. However, there were only 3 2nd prize winners(2 in october and 1 in sept.) but not one person hit the jackpot in 2013. In the entire year, not one person hit the jackpot. Anyone think this is strange or pretty normal? To me, I would assume someone would've hit it at least once.
