I've been doing a little experiment with Louisiana Lotto. Every drawing I buy 2 sets of numbers, one a quick pick, and one a set of numbers my wife and I picked, which we play for every drawing. I've been tracking the results of how many numbers matched over the last 35 drawings and here's what I've found.

Same set of numbers every time:

Average matched per draw: 0.764706

Median: 1

Mode: 0

Winnings: $0

Average Won Per Draw: $0.00

For me, focusing on the JP is a never ending disappointment so i avoid playing with that as my primary goal or the whole thing becomes a form of negative entertainment. I play one maybe two tickets for the JP games and sometimes more if i feel strongly about numbers i think will pop and if the JP is a sizable amount, but in general, i put most of my weekly lottery budget on games with lower odds. I hear you candlelight777, but sometimes I get alittle negative about the lottery when it seems like the drawing/winning numbers skip around my own numbers. Hope our numbers hit soon.

I do better with my own numbers. I enjoy picking my own numbers and i'd like to think that maybe having a positive attitude mixed with a little fun along the way will produce the magic numbers one day. QP's just feels soo impersonal and i like having a part in the numbers i play...especially if they hit a JP

I think I do better because I play with sets of low digit numbers, sets of middle numbers, sets of high digit numbers and sets of combination of low, middle and high numbers.

I HAVE NEVER WON ANYTHING USING MY OWN NUMBER OTHER THAN THE PB OR THE MB. I'VE ALWAYS WON MORE WITH QUICK PICKS

The combinations I play are hybirds of QPs. They are selected from a large group of randomly picked combinations and lately I've been picking losers but on closer examination of the large group I find it only has a few lower tier winners so I wouldn't have been much better off picking one of its winners.

Just wondering how the people that are playing quick picks and their own numbers are doing. Better with quick picks or your own numbers?

I seem to do better with my own numbers vs. quick picks.
