Good for the winner.

Good for the frenzy getting nipped in the bud, (although a few more rollovers in MM and it will just switch gears, but still nice for the insanity not to gain any momentum.

Not so good for the inevitable How come it's always California wha wha wha posts to follow.

The associated press is reporting that the jackpot is still rolling. They reported it at 425 million so it will be even bigger by Saturdays drawing..

SACRAMENTO, CA. -- California lottery officials said one winning ticket was reported in Wednesday nights drawing and are still waiting if there are any other winners in the 44 lottery jurisdictions.

The winning ticket was sold at Dixon Landing Chevron, which is located in Milpitas near Santa Clara County.

The drawing numbers were 17, 49, 54, 35, 1 and the Powerball number is 34 with the jackpot estimated at $400 million.
