a ticket is a ticket no matter what the state has nothing to do with it,,,, the reason there are more winners in other populated states is because more peop l buy tickets common sense

Small states have won big before like Rhode Island and West Virginia. I believe both were single Powerball jackpot winners over $300 million.

Didn't West Virginia also have a slew of nice 7 figure winners recently

It really is not the state that wins it is the ticketholder. When the numbers come up they don't care which state a person purchased the ticket from. It can be the smallest state or the largest. There were 17 or 18 runner ups in this draw it could have been anyone of them. All you have to do is be lucky enough to pick the right numbers. And my answer to your question living in a small lottery state is, no.
