Dropped 10 bucks on 5 of the new 2 dollar Quick Silver scratch offs today. Nothing, zip, not even a break even. I have spent 45 bucks on the new scratch offs the past 2 days and got 5 bucks back. I am done with this batch of new ones! I will wait and see what they have the first Tuesday of August.

Played the new 5 dollar Golden 7s . Bought 35.00 worth (7 in keeping with the 7 theme) and won 5 dollars. Very disappointing. I usually have more success on the 1rst day a new game is released. Grrrrrr

I have seen this many times. Usually when I have winners I have often had 2-3 in a row and much the same with losers but more like 5-6 in a row. A couple of months ago I bought 5 5 dollar tickets (I believe they were the 200k Grants) and won 140.00 with 4 out of the 5 tickets winners . One was a 100.00 winner and I believe I had a 25.00, a 10.00 and a 5.00. I cashed the 100.00 in for 5 20 dollar tickets figuring 1 in 3 was at least a 20.00 winner. Wrong!!! All 5 were losers!! i've always heard about many winners toward mi folks casa(house)toward like WINSTON SALEM/ROCKY MOUNT/RALEIGH/CHARLOTTE.

This was a first for me. All 3 of these are from the same pack in consecutive order. All 3 were winners! Has anyone else experienced this or similar? What's the most consecutive winners someone has seen?

On the flip side, I watched someone buy 10 consecutive $20 tickets and lost on all of them! What horrible luck!!

Nice Win!!

I personally prefer to scratch the lower priced tickets because I can buy 10 $2 tickets instead of 1 $20 ticket. I enjoy scratch offs and I like to scratch them so buying 1 $10 or $20 tickets seems to kill the fun for me. I would much rather have 10 chances at a win rather than blowing a lot of money on one or two high priced tickets.

New Scratch Offs came out on Tuesday 6/3... I was working so didn't have time to buy them on the day they came out but bought a few on the way home from work tonight..

Spent $21.00 and bought 7 of the new $3 Lucky Numbers ticket...

Hit 3 Decent Winners... $20, $15, $3 for a total of $38 from $21 spent. Once again the NEW Scratchers have lots of winning tickets in the initial release batches.

Found a nice Win All on the new $5 White Hot 5's!!

Spent $40, won $112. The New Scratch Offs tend to have a lot of winners in the first batch they release.

Anyone read about the women who just won 1 million on a $4,000,000 million spectacular scratcher? The story says she never played a scratch off before in her life, and managed to win big on her first one ever. I seem to hear these stories of blind luck more often than not (e.g., guy wins powerball with the last $5 in his bank account).

I dropped 100.00 on the 20.00 4mil Multiplier Spectacular today. Got tickets 005 through 009 on the roll. The very first line I scratched off on the 1rst ticket 005 revealed the 100.00 win symbol. On the 3rd ticket I got 2x 10.00 for a 20.00 win. There were no instant wins on the other 3 tickets but have not scratched the matching numbers yet (gives me a headache on 20.00 tickets). No, I'v never been to Harrahs, but I used to work at one of the internet sweepstakes places in western NC, was a great job. Thank the state for shutting it down, I was supporting my family (wife, 2 kids) on my own with that job working 50-60 hours a week. It's not different than scratch offs or the lottery, but harrahs didnt like the competition. I'm planning a new scratch off experiment where I buy 50 $2 tickets and see what I get.

If I do this, I'll buy 10 $2 tickets from 5 different locations that I know have lots of winners and post the Before and After photos here.

Here's my winner. I usually only $5 $10 or $20 tickets if my money allows it. I scratched in the store last night. I'd have a $20 winner here, a $25 winner there and also a $50 winner. Something told me to keep scratching until I hit big or until I lost that initial $20. Glad I listened

I Finally Won Big!! Went out today and bought $25 worth of various tickets a few $5, few $3, few $2. from a Kiosk at a grocery store.

The $5 Green Gold Was a $500 Winner!! Finally! After 2 years of playing this is the most I've ever won.

I thought it was $250 then I scratched the back side and won another $250...

Stumbled across some good fortune today playing the newest $20 game ($4,000,000 Multiplier Spectacular). Bought one ticket, #001, out of the kiosk at a Rite-Aid of all places. Ended up scratching and revealing a $150 prize!

While it makes sense that the first/last tickets might produce more winners, it's probably a fallacy. All of my big winners (i.e., $100+), in fact, have never been from #000 or #029 (the first/last on $20 tickets). So I wouldn't be overly discouraged that your store clerks... [ More ]

The problem with scratch offs are you are automaticly Down from the second you purchase the ticket, then you have to hope you win something to break even and be back to where you started. Most of the tickets are non-winners or duds so each dud you purchase means you must win Double on the next scratch off just to break even... The more tickets you purchase at one time, the more you would have to win just to break even.

Did a little experiment with the Scratch Offs... I took $60 and I bought 2 $10 tickets from each of my favorite Kiosk. So 2 Tickets purchased from 3 separate locations.

Results were $50 Win from $60 investment.

I am a new member here and saw this NC thread. I live in the Winston Salem area and a couple of months ago won 2700 on pick 4. I ran in a road race with my son and played my 4 digit race badge number and woke up the next morning and saw that I won. Until then my biggest win was 500.00 on a 20.00 scratchy. One thing I've noticed about scratch off tickets over the past 2 years is that I tend to win a lot more when I buy just 1 of each of the tickets I purchase rather than buying 10 at a time of the same ticket.

In other words I have constently won more by spreading my luck around on different tickets. I might buy 2 tickets of the same game but thats it.

Yea I may start using a kiosk. Theres only a few that I know of in Hendersonville. Just really upsets me they're ganking the tickets before they even get put out. I do know that theres a few people that work there that play. But to be pulling them before you even put them out is pretty snip ed up. This is why I always buy my tickets from the automated dispensors or Kiosk. These are all over Boone NC and I feel a lot safer buying from the Kiosk than from gas stations or other places where the tickets are previously handled.

The First and Last tickets are often winners. The employee may have noticed this from the tickets that are cashed in as winners.

I think i may be done for a bit, especially at the place i play at. On two different occasions iv bought tickets that were the last of the roll. I get home and scratch them and obviously not a winner but then i look at the ticket number and it's 001, instead of 000. The reason i know someones taking tickets is cause the bottom of the ticket is rough, where someone has obviously pulled the very first ticket. I was feeling lucky today so I decided to buy a few more scratchers.

I went to one of my favorite spots that seems to have a lot of winning tickets, it's an automated dispensor at a drug store.

I spent $20 and bought a variety of tickets, few $5 and a few $2 tickets. As usual I just pick whatever calls to me as I'm standing in front of the dispensor.

I won $70!!

I even won $40 on the new Scoop the Cash $2 ticket.

To post photos you'll need to upload them to your computer or a mobile device, then use a Free photo hosting site such as Photobucket.

When typing your post look at the icons near the bottom of the message box there's one that looks like a tree that's the insert image button that allows you to insert the image URL from Photobucket.

Sounds complicated but it's very easy to do once you get use to it.

I really like the new $5 caesars ticket. I like the multiple games. Havn't had too much luck lately but i'v been playin pick3/4/5 as well. I may just focus on the new $1k per week for life ticket i'd have been playing it but my usual store kept selling off the old ones they had left in stock. So i'm just gna stick to caesars and the 1k ticket. I would do alright with an extra 1k a week, after taxes probably 600 lol

I live in Charlotte, NC. I've been playing scratchers for about 3 years now. Never really gave much attention to scratch-offs until I won $100 on a $1 ticket (been playing ever since lol). I didn't even intend to buy the $1 ticket. When I was standing at the machine to get a ticket for the mega some random kid ran up and started hitting buttons. Out came the $1 ticket.

After posting this, I thought Hmmm Perhaps I'll go out and buy a few scratch offs...

I went to my favorite location, a Grocery Store that always seems to have the winners for sale at their Keyosk Automated Lottery Dispensor.

I bought 2 $10 Tickets the new Millionaire 7s and 1 of the $5 Caesars tickets. Both of these just came out last Tuesday so 4 days ago.

Both $10 tickets were duds but the $5 Caesars was a $50 Winner!!

I live in Boone NC and I've been playing Scratch Offs for the past 2 years on and off.

I never scratch my tickets until I get home and then I wait till later in the evening when I'm having a drink around 5:30 or so then I slowly scratch and take my time with it. If I win then I will take my winners and cash them the next day. If I lose then I put the losing tickets in my collection of losers.

I won $100 yesterday on the Green N Gold and another $100 about a month ago. I usually at least win my $5 back or $10. It seems to be a fun game with a chance of winning something . Have won zero dollars on that new $5 Grant game -- he's not smiling so that's a sign.

My favorite game so far is the $20 Gold Bullion -- we won $5k last August and that was very cool --- ready to graduate from that level now. LOL
