Thats a great idea thrifty, I will remember that the next time I play a quick pick.

Actually I played a QP today. I had a mild hunch and told the clerk, give me a PQP with the 2.

The 2 seems to be due, and my over analyzing workout is just burning me out. So I thought let my know at least one statistical thing, and GOD strike me down with five other winningnumbers!!!

I want to thank everybody that had responded here once again.

It appears our lotto fallacies max out at four or five.

A little of both. But in JP games, this will happen only .1% of the time as opposed to many more times with the p-3 games.

Bottomline, I'd rather win here and there in the pursuit of a method that may allow me wins to occur on a regular basis, but neither here or there, It's dramatically better than spending 40 bucks a week hoping to win a Major JP, which has a chance of .1% of occuring in your lifetime. Those odds suck, Period !

I should've explained my post in more detail.

It's true that a p-3 game is also random, plus all the other attributes mentioned, but my intention was to show that the p-3 is many times easier to predict due to the 1 in 1,000 possible combos for a straight, as opposed to millions to 1 in a JP game.

Predicting is no more then someone's attempt to forecast the results of a future drawing based on their observations of past drawings. The fact that drawings are random and they are usually wrong doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't try. A look at the predictions results will show some are better at it than others.

Duke gave a vague response about playing 15 frequent numbers which could mean a number of different things. My point was he said he played them because he believed they were better numbers .

Whether it's 70% or 99% playing QPs, the winner still is very lucky.

The most frequently drawn numbers for which period? The most frequently drawn numbers can be from the most recent drawings or from all previous drawings. I've run such simulations of previous drawings and never saw where doing that offered any advantages. Maybe he got lucky once doing that 'cause I've only heard of him winning big once.

Because they believe those numbers are better is the only reason I can think of why anyone would pick their own numbers.

I pick my own numbers not because I think they are better but because I can avoid combinations that have already won or came close to winning in previous drawings. Also by picking my own combinations I avoid repeats of combinations of threes and larger thus getting better coverage with the few lines I play.

I was comparing the more frequently drawn numbers to the numbers not drawn in the last 50 drawings. And I can say for a fact the numbers not drawn didn't win a jackpot.

I've been curious about own numbers vs quick picks and decided to do a little study on it. What I've been doing is tracking how many numbers I match on Louisiana Lotto(pick 6/40, minimum 3 to win) and have found something interesting.

They are busy doing something else because if there are QP statistics, they are not being published. Several years ago someone working for PB made the clever observation if about 70% to 80% ticket purchases are QPs than about 70% to 80% of the winning tickets are QPs . They could have said ABOUT 65% to 85% and it would mean the same thing because apparently they are not keeping records on the actual number of QPs sales.

The only sure thing I can bet on is myself. I dont put any faith into quickpicks.

I have had over twenty 4/5 wins, and I have never even gotten one 4/5 with a quickpick, when I play over 200 quickpicks per year for the last ten years. So that 2000 quickpicks with no significant wins.
