Everything is a tax on the stupid and mathematically challenged.

The lottery is the only tax that can pay you back in millions for a dollar paid making it the best tax there is.

Do stupid people ever win the lottery? Yes they do. More a matter of luck then brains.

Go to the speakers corner in your town and reach out to the occasional gambler instead. Much larger chance of converting someone.

I wouldn't say that people are stupid when it comes to lottery games but, lots of people really are mathematically challenged through no fault of their own. When a person reasonably mathematically inclined, they truly understand the vast differences of the Pick games and the Jackpot games The small games...they can, and, are won regularly both stateside and online with plenty of proof. My answer is YES, but NOT with everyone. Most people play a lot HOPING lightning will strike their head. Some like me play maybe 3 bucks a month for the same reason.

Then there's the minority, (thank goodness) who believe they will win in their lifetime. This group despite being a minority, need help, serious help.
