When I was in Tampa, I used to only buy from Sweet Bay, since that was the only place I ever won any money. But since moving to GA, it's wherever is convenient since I haven't been lucky anywhere since I got here. I know logically, it's random, so no one store is luckier than another, but hey, this is gambling and gambling on the lottery doesn't make much sense to begin with so...I go with where disappoints me the least.

For me it's always buy from different locations if you have multiple retailers in your area. The logic in this is similar to the analogy of lightning striking twice in the same place. That may be a poor comparison but that's just my opinion.

It can and does happen that there have been multiple winners at the same location, but always amazed to see that there was a winning ticket in one of the varied locations that are used to purchase tickets.

l wonder why Californians can place a bet for MM up to 7:45pm on a Tuesday- yet the cut-off time to place a bet for PB is 7.00pm on Wednesdays?

Do any other States follow this routine- just asking

As I've said, I normally buy mine at the same place, but earlier today I was filling up w/ gas and got my tickets for the next PB, MM and Texas lotteries. Hope it changes my luck.

There's 5 locations I buy from depending on where I am and what I'm doing. Sometimes I buy from other places, but for the most part, from this small group. I also use a lottery vending machine sometimes.

I use to only play at 7-11 . A friend suggested playing at Liquor stores and small markets. We were playing at half a dozen liquor stores in the area. Mostly replays. We had better luck at 7-11. If we are on the road we will stop at a gas station or 7-11. I think we all have our lucky spots.

I wouldn't say I buy at random places, I would say that I buy different places regularly. Whenever I'm out of town or something like I'll pick up a few tickets but its not like I make a habit of going to random places. Mostly just places I'm near on a regular basis.

Some stores are lucky for me but it cycles on and off.

When it cycles off I go somewhere else.

Some stores I'm never lucky at and have taken them out of the rotation.

I like a nice clean smooth orderly ticket buying experience.

If I can see the clerk is an incompetent, chaotic scatterbrain with an aura of negative vibes or in a bad mood or pre-occupied in thought or conversation with some other moron, I'll go elsewhere.

I got no time for the nonsense.

Usually the same store but some times other stores. Occasionally I'll even drive to the store (a bit of a distance away from where I live) that has a street number of 1111 - hasn't helped yet but who knows - one day it might work

The majority of the time I play my numbers at circle k because it is within walking distance from my apartment but sometime I like to play at big apple store which is also in walking distance but a litttle bit farther from circle k. If I am lazy I will just buy at circle k but if I want to get a good stretch on the legs then big apple store it is.-weshar75

Random locations and NEVER in my city, not NOW, not EVER.Reason? : long story short we had a convenient store clerk hand the tape of a $52 Mega Millions winner over to the lottery folk out of Sacramento less than 30 days after the win- those Morons posted his face on the TV news with mystery winner needs to come forward .. in a State where one has over a YEAR to claim, they have not tried that crap ever since.

The winner ended up leaving the city for parts unknown ..

Same here, at least as far as the same store. There's a convenience store that's near by, but I go little out of the way to purchase from a certain liquor store where the clerks are friendly. All Texas liquor stores have to be majority-owned by someone who resides in the same county, so IF I win, I know that the bonus will go to someone here in town and I think the owner would share some of it w/ his help.

I ussually buy from the gas station by my place, but recently I've been getting lucky at my college.

I bought a QP for $5 at my college, won a FREEPLAY, won $20, spent $5 on another QP, and that QP won me 3 FREEPLAYS (matched 2/6 on 3 different lines if it was on the same line that would of been 50m! never happened to me before), then I won another FREEPLAY for this fridays jackpot at 50M + 2 Max Millions (lottomax).

I'm feeling lucky :D

I buy most of my tickets from 2 places, near my home or near my work place. Occasionally when I am out of town I will play there just to see is Miss Fortune is asleep or Lady Luck happened to be visiting that town that day. We have plenty of convenient stores all over in MA.

Most draw tickets, which is what I mainly play these days, are purchased from two liquor stores in town. When I play Scratchers, there is one donut shop I like since I tend to win more often there than other places.
