I had read that somewhere, too.

I saw a Jay's Garage video on YT about his Morgan and thought that interesting; I did some reading on the vehicle, then saw one for sale on Hammacher Schlemmer for $59,000 and a Cam-Am like I'd want would be $15k+. Makes me wonder how the Elio can be built so cheaply.

I think you are referring to Brad Duke.

The elio is not for everyone but I think it would be ideal for a single person to use for commuting to work and running errands. Going on a date with it is unlikely unless you both drive separately.

When Yugos were available there was a Mercedes or Corvette dealer in Vegas that gave away a Yugo with each new car bought. They advertised that the Yugo was for driving to your IRS audit.

I think in most states it's going to be classified as a motorcycle, which may require a helmet in some states. I read an article that says they are trying to get around the helmet requirement.

I think they could resolve it by putting the helmet requirement on something you ride , like a Can Am Spyder as opposed to a three wheeled vehicle you drive like this Elio or a Morgan Three Wheeler.

I like this concept, but having to drive 45 minutes to the nearest Pep Boys is a big minus.

Coin Toss- just got to thinking about your original question and if memory serves me correct, a multimillionaire Jackpot winner from a few years ago bought a slew of bicycles. Cannot recall his name but no one would have suspected him of being a winner either, unless his face was familiar.

When was the last time you got into a head on collision? If you are worried about getting into a head on collision, then I doubt this guy can help you.

If recently than you need to put down your drink and just drive.

If recently then I can understand if your wife was probably driving and she is Chinese.

It looks like one of those spyder motorcycle except it has a hard top. At $6800, it's probably much safer and cheaper if you were in the market for a motorbike. They would do fine in cities like NY or Chicago but definitely not a vehicle for me.

Nope, doesn't do anything for me. Looks like something out of the Jetsons. I'll just continue driving my current car because a better way to keep people from thinking you've won a JP is to not make any attention-getting purchases. That weird car stands out like a sore thumb.
