Ditto. I just keep family birthdays in one set, and one QP set in play. In fact, it terrifies me to think of winning several million, and get it publicized, and be targeted by all the criminals and folks that are desperate, and those that are just plain nuts! It will be heart wrenching enough to deal with family and extended family and the point when I'd have to cut them off. If you go into it expecting to win, you will be disappointed (or mad) every time.

If you go into it hoping to win, it's not such a big deal when you don't win.

Lottery is the only thing that's going to improve my life I need it to be happy.

After I win my record shattering jackpot then I don't care who wins.

Oh what makes me the angriest is how it's too easy for them to win. I would go down in history as being the first winner who had a hard time winning.

You know that 570 million was the annuity and not what you actually get if you take the lump sum. 570 is the future value not the present value.

I don't know how people play the lottery and still don't understand how the most basic thing like the prize works, no wonder most go broke.

This question reminds me of the episode on King of Queen's When Doug Heffernan blames his wife, Carrie, and her anger about his over eating and weight problem, His response was she needs anger management. One example of the blame transference syndrome, that was funny to watch, but is very real in all walks of life.

If you get mad about not winning the lottery, you may need to address something deeper than not wining a game.

I don't understand why anyone would get mad if someone other than themselves win the lottery. They pay their money to play just like the next person. I'm happy for anyone that can win. But I do say I wish I could have gotten a piece of that especially if it's a huge jackpot. Don't be grudge hearted because your chances went from nil to none for sure.

Absolutely agree. Our elderly are treated with disrespect and disregard as throwaways, makes me sick. There is something to be said of life experience and knowledge of age, so yes, I agree seeing an 84 year old over a 19 year old winning any day.

Unless Gloria has set up a trust and well thought out estate plan, it will be Uncle Sam who will prosper when she passes.

Gloria actually collected $278 million but owed another $54 million when she filed her taxes earlier this year so her true after tax amount was roughly $224 million.

No kidding, right? I'm usually happy for the winners. But I get annoyed when someone like 84 year old Gloria win $300 MILLION AFTER taxes. The only person who makes out in cases like that are their kids who get a very nice inheritance and Uncle Sam when collecting a death tax

Good point. I never get mad. I just focus on the next draw. There is always another draw, another chance.

Trust me...I want and need to win a jackpot. Especially with how work is going right now. I'm so sick of my job I can't stand it and I see no alternative.

dont tell people u won, only confide in your best friends and family, and only tell the people who u trust, and feel good about your fortune, most people are jealouse and wont congratulate u, im retired and the store i buy my tickets in we hang around and talk, whenever anyone wins mostly pick 3 i congratulate them, but quite a few times i won never a congratulation pat on the back, i still congratulate the winnnners but i never tell them when i win never,again,
