Since the OP is from Tennessee and there are 5 number combinations with a high digit of 40, I am guessing it is Tennessee Hot Lotto. But could be MM or PB.

Put this formula in column F and copy down. It will give a 1 if there are consecutive numbers and a blank cell ( ) otherwise.

Okay, here is what I want to do. I have a lotto program which has pretty good filters. I found another one on the internet which had a filter you could check called Ignore _ consecutive numbers (13,14,15....) At the underscore was drop down box where you could select 0,1,2,3,4,5 and so on. Since mine doesn't inlcude this particular filter, I was wanting to know if it was possible after copying my filtered tickets pasting into excel and have the ability to set it up a formula where it does this f... getting the answer in f1 complicates the task. in F1 =if(a1+1=b1,1,0)

copy this to three more cells G1-i1 and paste then copy down as needed

the answer is in 4 columns not 1 . combine the above with some 'or' commands to get to one cell

me, I would rather see if there was a pattern of a position being a consecutive number

I have some programs that do this but was wondering if someone knows how to do this

Say I have this in excel

In the F column I want excel to put a 1 in that (F1) cell to signify that A through E were consecutive number

Example

row1 was 10-11 consecutive numbers

row2 was 38-39 consecutive

row3 was 34-36 consecutive

so in F1, F2, F3 just a simple 1 would be sufficient for what I need it to do
