Yes, I agree. I've had the problem of being married to certain area codes and that is my player's fallacy. However, cold numbers are the worst I think when it comes to predictions. I think if people are willing to play a pick 3 number for a year..... this is what I would do instead. Watch the numbers and look out for trends. Once you see trends, choose the most recent 10-15 results, play exactly those numbers in the order they were drawn and go for straight hits or at least straight/box. Do this... [ More ]

Area codes do indeed hit quite often. I noticed that a long time ago, but there are so many of them. I will usually pick one state and play area codes from that state until something hits and then choose another state.

I had been playing 918 for over a year. stopped playing and it still hasn't hit. But here in Mo., the way they're playing, hell it just makes you stop playing altogether. I think the way that they are dropping the NUMBERS now is a scam straight up, that' why I stopped playing. GOOD LUCK to all, I just watch now.

I can't see myself playing a number for a year. Maybe 10 to 12 drawings at the most, but I tend to have a short attention span when playing certain numbers.

I replied Yes, but in reality I know the answer should be a big fat NO and never ever get stuck on one number, learned my obsessive lesson.

Unfortunately I have been waiting for 109 for almost three years, 901, 910, etc. so you can imagine how I am in the hole on that one so I can't give up now.

No not for a year because pick 3 and pick 4 you would be losing money now if its your pet number watch how they fall then play it heavy and you will win big However play what you can or you will be broke in the lottery game

Mmm... No, not for a year because pick 3 occurs twice daily and that is a lot of money to lose if your number is not appearing.

However, I have been playing a pick 4 number for almost a year and hope it will hit soon!

Also, a tip to win pick 3. Area codes hit very often. You just have to pick the right area code. LOL.

Believe it or not I have stuck with one before which had never hit straight until it hit got it for 50/50...that's the way I played it every day.

I said yes in your poll. I have been playing Kansas triple 333 when I can. It took 21 years for Kansas to take that number out of solitary confinement that finally hit on Oct 13, 2013. I started playing it a few days later. I don't think I have been playing it for a year but I'm sure it's close. Nor do I know how much i have spent on it. I would play 10 numbers with the 333 for 3 days. Bu it was getting to expensive payin $15 a week. I would always put a $1 on the 333 and the rest would be 50 ce... [ More ]

was playing 918 for over a year. i let it go though. besides that#, i had been playing 729. for almost a year. here in MO. its not good too hold on too a #longer than a week.,i'm coming to find that out. but i've lost a great deal on the 918. cant keep giving them my money so i stopped. good luck to all who play MO lottery.

That's an excellent point; is there a difference between playing one three digit for 250 drawings and then switching to another number when it doesn't hit?

And yes if you're playing everyday anyway for the same amount, the bad thing would be if the first number hit shortly after you stopped playing it. FYI, 023 went over 11,000 drawings in Ohio without a hit.

So what I really meant was would you play a number until it hit? (even if it took a whole year to come in.)

But,yes,you're right. After 250 days you might think twice about dropping it.

But if you're playing everyday ANYWAY, why wouldn't you stick with a same number? (until it hit) Even if it was OVER 250 days? You're still playing right? Whatever number you've been playing, it's as good a number as any.

Any straight hit after the 250th drawing pays less than even money (bet $250 to win $250) so an entire year isn't a good bet IMO. I'd put a 90 or 100 drawings limit on any single pick-3 number.

If there is a holy grail of pick-3 systems, it's probably a way of finding one three digit number that will be drawn in the next three months.

Which is why it makes more sense to focus on mastering PICK 4.

Right!! It does pay better. I had someone on here tell me why would you play P4 instead of P3?

P4 is harder because you're picking 3 instead of 4.

I do P4 because the natural order of numbers are more prevalent in P4.

But...I'd play one Jackpot style number for a year. If it's a really good combo.

Looking around the Pick 3 Forums on a daily basis can be daunting at times.

Numbers Numbers Numbers! And not just ONE number but dozens and dozens and hundreds and millions,lol. (Okay, I'm guilty of giving out a few numbers myself,lol)

And when you're faced with a number that has a 9 in it, for instance, OH NO!

MORE numbers to consider because,naturally,you have to FLIP IT to a 6!

Everyday I'm asked for numbers.

All you really need is JUST ONE NUMBER,don't you?
