I am a believer in prediction just not on a regular basis. What's considered regular is up in the air

as everyone has different regulars. I think I can hit 1ea p-4 straight a month playing one line for

both midday and evening draws. My state pays $6K for a straight hit so that's a 100 fold return.

Just saying, as I have yet to play a single p-4 game other than on paper.

Building my own daily game system or better said upgrading a old one and so far it's looking like it might

If you pay close attention a discussion of a system will get more responses than threads where there is nothing but numbers posted. (The exception is where a person will keep pumping his numbers thread with 6 to 10 posts a day.)

Get a good discussion going and a thread will go page after page after page with different people and ideas being thrown in the ring.

Extremely long skips are the most serious issues every system poster must count on and have a survival strategy for that time.

Well, not so fast. Don't be fooled by the higher payout. Since doubles have lower odds you can expect to lose more often. In effect, this would cost you more money as you keep trying to win. Just my 2 cents worth but the biggest reason I see for failures is playing every game.

Many systems are built around some analysis which may show good data but we need

to look a little deeper to see if there are any indicators that can help us know when to

play.

When I have a good win I stop playing unless I see some very good reason to continue.

At best, system play is a little like card counting and when counting cards if the counts

Well, the answer was ,basically, given to you. As mentioned, it all comes down to placing restrictions on your play. For example, the Win D double trap ,already, has a restriction that you must wait for 7 consecutive singles. But, another restriction can be added to this to make it better. That is, only to play once ,each time around, instead of three times. In this case, you might play on the 8th draw ,each time, and then stop.

Well, a losing streak ,in itself, wouldn't ,necessarily, make a system a failure. Losing streaks are normal and ,therefore, are to be expected. But, I was referring to those losing streaks that will just wipe you out.

Anyway, you're right that the failure is in ourselves. We may ,for example, second guess our choices. But, what's important is that we make our choices and stick to the same way of playing.

In my opinion, any system, method, or tool that can't handle a freak streak will prove to be a failure. On the other hand, this part doesn't seem to matter to anyone. So, a system, method, or tool is either no good or it's just not good enough.

Well, a good system is one that makes sense and that has the tendency to get winning results. Also, part of a good system is having good money management when wagering. But, now, we can add win/loss management to this too.

Anyway, it can be said that the reason for why systems fail is because the odds are ,very much, stacked against you. This ,in turn, is the reason for why we encounter losing streaks. So, it's really more of a matter of odds rather than randomness.

When that person (Pick3guy) came on my thread being rude and making demands, i took the high road. :) I won't be providing him with both a state and time period for him to check or anything else he rudely demanded. I don't go out of my way for rude people.

Since he seems to like to do extensive research, he can look it up himself.

If he is going to demand proof, he should provide proof.

Yeah, I agree with his assessment. He wasn't picking on WIN D per se, but If you read in between the lines you'd notice he's writing about systems in general. WIN D's system helped him get closer to his goal, that's all.

He continuously says things like, My very extensive research proves...blah blah blah and shows no part of anything he says. Are you kidding? Big claims and he really does not even understand the basic premises. If he did, he would already be there by now.

Analogies can be made of shooting stars, round vs oblong cheerios, purple fruit loops, wild hairs growing out your ear. If they were in a novel you'd say they were imagery.

Imagery doesn't explain/prove/show or demonstrate jack.

His analogy was spot on. I've seen those shows about rogue waves. Just like anything else, numbers work in waves and calm, meaning randomness/chaos behaves sporadically, yet generally predictable.

Waves at the beach usually come in three, then there's a sort of calm for a while until the waves show again.

Numbers work the same way. There is Normal activity, and sudden spikes. recent Florida p-3 winners are a good example. The 9 in the first position couldn't stay away. That's not the norm... [ More ]
