I've gotten PM's from local members who wanted to get together in some central location within a two hour drive here in Ohio and I wasn't interested so I certainly wouldn't be interested in leaving the state to meet other members.

There are probably enough members here that can remember lots of nut cases and I'm sure there are a few

some of us have forgotten. That would be the best single reason not to attend any get together.

Most people would probably call me a liar if I showed the PM threats I got from one particular member even though other members got similar PMs. But it's meaningless because words can't hurt me (except for the the end in the Geico commercial).

I was here less than 8 months and a nut case * you know who you are, sends me a private msg stating that l must comply with his way of thinking, which was for me to embrace him as a friend and some other sh**- l admit l blinked and thought wtf is this?

The problem with these nutcases is that they think that by threatening a person- they doing this for the greater good. Having a Convention would only embolden these people.

There was one nut case (user name 'j20' something or other) I remember back in August of this year that got off his meds and went straight bonkers, posting several direct threats against Todd's physical safety, saying what he would do if he were ever to meet Todd out on the street, blah, blah, so on and so forth. Well a lot of us are just kidding about a convention. It would not work. There are a number of nut cases here that have threatened people and since Todd knows about them, he could be held liable. Can you imagine a nut case like Ronnie showing up?

Now a general gaming convention unrelated to the forum is another matter but I think it has been done.

This would work for people who do not mind coming face to face with people whose faces they normally

Conventions have their downsides - for instance can you imagine walking around the Convention floor rubbing shoulders with folk you have never seen before, then suddenly ......walking towards you is this guy/gal with a soda in one hand, standing 4'9 and with a name badge that says it all This is the same creep that has been hurling abuse at you your posts for years .

Its funny because the original post that made this member comment talked about a few things on what numbers I thought would help for last night Lotto. The LP member said I should not do that yet, guess what the numbers I said came out and someone with other members hit it.

I suppose I could BRING the food, but I'm fairly sure you don't want me making it. I eat a lot of deli chicken, souper rice and Tai Pai Chinese frozen dinners.

I had a Pak a Burger combo basket for lunch Saturday. They make the best burgers in town.

Bar nun.

These sisters are in the habit of eating there on weekends, too.

Well, that's what we ,already, have right here on the LP website. So, why would members meet up just to do the same thing. But, if we haven't ,by now, come up with anything that would knock the lottery system out of the ball park then meeting up won't make much of a difference.

I have to say, I agree. Out the blue today, I had someone mess up my law of attraction today. They sent me a private message and they said that because I was a new member I should not give any advice or ask questions. But, what made me mad was that they said I was desperate to win. Okay, last month I won around $1000.00 in playing just because I just signed on doesn't mean I am new to the lottery. I also love the casinos too. People here can't agree on quick picks vs self picks, cash option vs annuity, and holding or not holding a news conference if given the choice (anonymous if allowed, or not).

You think they'd agree on a location for such a convention

don't work players, the lottery is random players vs. the lottery is fixed players, MM vs. PB, math vs. non-math players,

Pick 3 players vs. Pick 4 players. Of course there would be side bets... Todd could be the referee. It would be a blast

LP offers a chat room two hours every Sunday evening for members who like to get together and talk lotteries but when I've gone there less than ten members are usually there which indicates to me very few LP members are interested in talking numbers and strategies with other members.
