Well, then I suggest uninstalling Open Office from the Control panel, restart your computer, then reinstall Open Office and see If that helps. Sometimes programs can become corrupted.

I had to do this recently with Chrome. Videos didn't play correctly along with many other glitches. Now it runs flawlessly.

only, yes used direct and same thing happens. Loads and loads repeatingly. Any ideas

No, I've accessed the Internet from all kinds of documents including text and pdf files when they had a link in them, you just have to know what you're dealing with.

So are you telling me that I can access the Internet using open office? That's a first..lol

I wasn't aware open office was connected to the Internet, however this explains why I see open office refreshing itself from time to time. I just thought it was having hiccups.

You probably didn't, I once explained to someone how find and replace in Notepad could be used to exchange numbers in a wheel and they then asked me how they would use it to write a totally new wheel with different guarantees.

Open office is an application or a tool, not a browser. Unless I'm missing something here, meaning open office has a section that connects to the Internet. That would be a first for me, but then again, what do I know? lol

Have you tried to download it directly to your computer, as opposed to the dropbox?

That's how i do it. After you click on the download, it asks me If i want it to my dropbox, or to my computer. I choose computer and once it's finished download, which takes about 3 seconds for me, I then open it and it works.

Now, whenever i close it for the day, and want access later, I click on the open office icon on my desktop and on the bottom left there's an icon that looks like a yellow folder. It... [ More ]

When I download a link from dropbox it just keeps loading and loading and loading over and over. How do i fix it?Thanks. Some are spreadsheets.
