I too have been watching repeat numbers from the jackpot games, and always try to stick one or two of them on a few different lines that I play each week. Although I do not follow megabucks at all because we do not have that in my state. And about the vertical to horizontal thing, I do not see this pattern much in the Powerball, which is the main game that I play. Almost impossible to predict. I knew that the either #49 or #59 from Wed powerball drawing was going to have something to do with tonites mega millions and also thought the number 38 was significant but was focused on the number 12 for some reason :-). You catch the number 37 and it becomes easier to see the number 8 directly in line below the 37 and twice the number four played last week..
