Hi Taurus$,

It seems like you have had different periods of your life where you played the lottery. It seems you can relate to myself about losing or only getting 20 dollars or so. Scratchers are can be more addicting than the draw games, that's why I am treading lightly with my reinsertion of scratchers in my lottery play. I still believe in a budget that way one can still be in the game but not feel as bad about the losses. It has been a tough few months with my losses but I need to remembe... [ More ]

I might play a couple times this year or that year but that was in the 80's and i did not think too much of playing the lottery. In the 90's it was the same thing a little here and there. I did one pool in the late 90's. In the early 2000's i started to play lil more than usual and started a big pool at my job in a bank in PA.

Hi Elizabeth03,

I think most of us want to win the lottery or we wouldn't be playing. Keeping yourself on a budget is important or otherwise one can really spend far too much chasing a dream that most likely will just happen to a few people. My budget might be expanded a bit due to buying scratchers but I still try to be on a budget and not go on the path I once was on. Since the lottery is so random it really wouldn't make a difference for me if I spent more money since my wins would still be small. I just wanted to change things up a bit with my playing. When I am on a losing streak with the draw games, I know it just brings me closer to a small win. But I am happy with a free ticket or moving up on FJA's ranking list, etc. I think you spend too much time focusing on the lottery and really need to cultivate other interests. Isn't there a gambler's anonymous?

Sometimes your remorse is palpable and... [ More ]

shyguitar most of us are on losing steaks, I think

The difference is some of us are losing at a snail's pace and some of us at a head spinning pace. If you absolutely want to win something then play pick 3. Your wait time for a win will be less than others but the win will only be enough to buy one meal at a fancy restaurant

Hi everyone,

Well these past few months have been quite depressing. I am on a losing streak. Have won nothing on the draw games and have even started playing a 20 dollar scratcher. The first few times I played this scratcher won a hundred dollars but since then I have won nothing. The reason I started to play scratchers was because I hadn't been having any luck with the draw games. Luckily I am still tryimg to budget myself. When it comes to the scratchers I will buy one ticket in the store a... [ More ]
