As long as each state is responsible for paying the secondary PB and MM prizes, cashing in tickets bought another state will never happen.

You have more faith in state legislators than me, I don't think most of em know what hypocrisy means.

If KY can OK online lottery ticket sales, other states won't be far behind. Currently it's just a few states offering multi-state game sales along with their lotto games, but the next step is all state online games and possibly poker and bingo. Five m... [ More ]

Yea, that would be great if I could buy my PB/MM here in Jersey and claim the JP in an anonymous state like Delaware.

I live outside of Georgia; can I still be a member of the Georgia Lottery Players Club?

Yes, anyone age 18 or older may be a member of the Georgia Lottery Players Club and enter eligible Georgia Lottery tickets into second chance promotions. Residents outside of Georgia are eligible to upgrade to and manage an iHOPEcard account, but tickets cannot be purchased online using the iHOPEcard while physically located outside of the state of Georgia.

You can only buy them online if you're in the state at the time. So you would have to make a trip to the state where you can purchase them at any place that sells lottery tickets.

Who can play the Georgia Lottery?

A. Anyone who is 18 years of age or older can play Georgia Lottery games except for Georgia Lottery employees, Board members and family members residing in the same household; vendors, subcontractors, employees and family members residing in the same household. There are no restrictions placed on retailers and their employees.

It looks like you mean you can't buy and cash any Georgia Lottery games tickets outside the state of Georgia, but some state lotteries offer subscriptions. From the NY Lottery FAQ.

4. Can I purchase a New York Lottery subscription if I live outside New York?

Yes. To purchase a subscription through the Lottery's subscription center, you must access the subscription center from a computer or other electronic device physically located within New York State at the time of purchase.

Ten years ago there were several Internet sites where we could gamble playing Bingo, poker, and bet on horse races. In 2006 Congress passed the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act and by 2011 all the sites were closed with the exception of horse racing. You can buy lottery tickets for other states games, but you can only cash those tickets in that state. Even though the PB and MM numbers are the same in each state, we can only cash those in state where the tickets were bought too.

I feel your pain TnTicketlosers, I asked the OLC why we don't have a state lotto jackpot game and if we will be getting one in the future their response was legislation won't allow it . Then I asked about better scratch-offs games(since our highest is $5 to win $30,000-$40,000) you can guess what they said umm........ state legislation won't allow it . And they(OLC) wonder why lottery sales are down.

To play any state we want,since the state you live in is so corrupted..We dont have the right to spend it the way we want unless we drive.They need to change these laws.
