That's why I spent $$$ like crazy in my 20-30's on Bikes, cars, travelling Etc...

I didnt save snip then, never new what the future would hold.

Now that's all done, I dont need to do that anymore, life is simple now...

Well guys....don't bet on that pension until you're getting it. And even then, you'll have a target on your back for the rest of your life.

I think the secret is to treat your retired income as a business. There are small companies that are pulling in over a Grand a day- why not you? If my income is fixed in stone, knowing full well that you getting K40 a month regardless- you going to keep that ship afloat ...until you put in the urn or casket- whatever your preference.

Been there, Done that....

Helped my Wifes brother after he got out of Prison. He never had a good work ethic, so before I left to go back to the Middle East, I helped him get on SSDI.

The state gives him a check every month. He was only about 40 when this happened.

People that work like us, will always support the POS that wont contribute. Move On and enjoy the Retirement...

I'm a thousandaire every month thanks to SS. Wehrn I retired I had over$36K in my 401K. Now it's down to just over 8K. Also when I retired the company gave me severance of $49,997. That's gone thanks to my generosity to my sister. Bought her three used vehicles. The $800 van is now impounded. Then I bailed her bf out of jail and also payed their $400 electric bill. Heck yeah I could live comfortably as a thousandaire I think I first hear that term coined by George Jefferson back in the day LOL, but as a thousandaire I wouldnt ever buy a Ferrarri, you can see the upkeep is horrendous. A F150 would do me just fine

It depends on where you live and your taste in life. I could live great on 100,000 to 150,000 a year after taxes, and if the house is paid for, property taxes are set aside and the cars are paid in full, in otherwords no bills for the next 41 years.

A broad definition I assume, would be making anywhere above, say $250K a year.
