It depends on what the 4th highest number is. If the 4th highest number is 34 then the likelihood is 1 in 41

because that's how many numbers are greater than 34 to choose from. If the 4th highest number is 4 then

it would 71.

You can never changes the Odds of a game as it is a mathematical formula base on the number of balls used in any given game (The Matrix). But you can change your chances of winning. Your Chances of Winning are not the same as your Odds of Winning. These are two separate issues. By knowing which combinations of numbers come in the most often with each other, you just improved your chances of Winning.

Exactly. Just as you would find a pair for pick 3 or 4. Small Tips like these add up to Big Winners! In a game such as this, every trick in the book must be used.

Now that I'm wrapping my mind around this (still early,lol) I see what you say does make sense. Since you're adding 19 more balls, naturally the chance of the number bias changing is greater. Personally, I never play Mega. Why would anyone? I've posted this before but your odds are the populations of Russia and Mexico combined! Absolutely ridiculous.

I never look @ the frequency of any 'one' given number. When I am looking for a set of numbers to play, I look at which combinations of numbers come in the most often with each other and make my picks from there.

Here is an example of the Powerball Game. In this case, I would play the numbers 01 34 38 42 50.

Trust me, it does. I have been looking at combinations patterns in all kinds of Jackpot games over the last 20 years I have learned thru experience.

Under the old matrix, you only had 56 balls to contend with, now; you have 75 balls. Big difference.....................

I see what you're saying but does the matrix of the game affect the results as much as the actual machine the numbers are drawn from? It doesn't seem to me that just because the matrix of the game changed the numbers that are biased would change as well if they're using the same machine.

The last Matrix change to the Mega Game was on 10/22/13. Therefore; anything older than that would comprise the patterns of combinations. When you are looking at combinations patterns, you can only look at the current Matrix. Anything other than the current matrix will distort your figures. Every time the Matrix changes, I throw out the old start keeping track of the new. It's like looking at a Game with 21 numbers. My question is why are you limiting your time frame to just 2013? If you look at the complete history you'll see 35 has shown up 29x overall in last place.

1st place--2x

2nd place--24x

3rd place--59x

4th place--71x

Seems 4th place is where he likes to show up most.

You said 35 is the hottest number overall. I'm not so sure about that. Now you got me curious :) I'll find out and report back.

I would play 35 just because it is a frequent number. I would not play it as the 5th number. There are other numbers that play more frequently in the 5th position. Plus you are eliminating 40 numbers, many of which have played in that position.

I used to keep a chart of positional frequency way back, but lost the data when my computer got a bug. Frankly that data never helped me win so I didn't pursue it anymore.

I know that numbers are drawn in random order and that they are only reported in numerical order. The number 35 has been drawn in the Mega Millions 18 times since Oct 22, 2013. Overall, it is the hottest number. It has come up once in the first position (or lowest reported number drawn), four times in the second position, seven in the middle position, 6 in the fourth position, but never in the last position (or highest reported number drawn).
