Base

A....use 10 letters for now and later add 2 more letters to help with Doubles later Put in by hand

B...array of numbers Put in by hand

C...Winning Number Straight Put in by hand E...small to largest number

D...Straight F...From A to L box

First let go to B array of numbers will change each and every draw. Block A(A-L) is the problem, what I think we have to do is have buttons, or clicks.

in A........ Top roll 210 came in . .The letters I H and B..

Once you have an ordered set of 10 digits for the next draw you can do anything you want with them.

You can wheel and play as many of them as you want, but which ones?

There are two questions here:

what is the best digits ordering criteria (current hit skip - how many draws each digit didn't show up, digits occurrences - how many times each digit showed up in the last X drawings, quantity of hits - how many hits each digit had in the last X drawings, max skip - the longest consecutive... I have played a lot with this idea in my programs and here is a part of it.

There are two parts here, one is the Main test (Bob is looking for) and 2nd part is a simulation test of playing certain order positions (Bob's order: A-K or my order: 1.-10.)

In this example digits are ordered by current skip (green column) showing how many draws each digit has been out.

Digits could be ordered in other ways instead of current skip as:

digits occurrences

by total hits by max skip

In resum :

Excel has a lot of ready features, like connection to Access database. There is a lot more to it than worksheet-functions.

Functions are sorted by for what they are used, like text, statistics or other. I add custom functions and subroutines.

For the beginner:

You have to know and practice with cell referencing, it is the A to Z in this.

When you try a function, you have to read the information that MSDN gives you and try a few things.

Yes I will always use paper and pen,and use the human element..Excel will just help me do that better,and save me time on my workouts.

The array of numbers to letters is the start ..I call this phase 1 ( the base of the Master System). Sheet 1 of the work sheet..

This may take weeks or months....Not sure....

Work sheet 2 will be the Exciting part, The data from work sheet 1 will merge with work sheet 2 .. at that point don't know if I will need

more work sheets or not.

Building a lotto spreadsheet is a great way to learn Excel on the fly! Best place to put your study efforts is =IF and =COUNTIF, both great help in describing what is happening in your game.

That said, I still keep a lotto journal to jot down anything I notice as I am going through my spreadsheet.

That's easy to answer ,,,I now nothing about excel formulas .... I'm just getting my feet wet..

I'v been going to threads that talk about Excel..Trying to see what i can pick up. I'v seen some of

your posts , your are advance in excel,that's not where I'm at.. Also going to youtube ,,picking up

That is what you should have done before asking.

If you used a text like 012, you first put the digits into separate cells.

You can join them again by concatenation.

I just wonder why you did not find.

I use 0 to 9 along side the draws and it gives clear pattern over time. I color in the number that hits.

Basically, yeah. It started with Bob P's Power Trails (see Lotto-Logix site), but now its more looking for positions that have repeated too many times or haven't hit for a long time. For example, the highest frequency postition A may be associated with different numbers, but if it repeats 3 times in a row, I will ignore it, or if it hasn't hit for 15 games I will start looking for it.

Use Rank(). Break it down in steps, not all in one trick.

0 - 9, with frequency. The amount of most frequent and less frequent numbers changes. Don't force a big square in a small round box.

You don't need to sort them. Use a look up function. They just post threads to piss you off.

That's the simple part, Serge. The difficult part is having Excel look up the rank position of each digit that hit.

For example:

Ranks, from highest to lowest (based on frequency):

4 6 5 9 0 1 7 3 2 8

Current result: 329 Formula should return 8,9,4 which could then be translated into H,I,D

Create a look-up-table. Put it somewhere in your Excel workbook. Give it a name.

For conversion, use a look up function like vertical look up.

I gave a VBA code in a thread, look it up.
