Just to add to my last post ... I remembered that May wasn't too bad for some MM hits just playing the top three Mega Balls that have been hitting.

I searched out all the hits in May and also what the multiplier was ... I don't always play the MM every draw so I didn't get every hit ... just a few.

Even only spending $6 a drawing X 9 drawings, it's still a considerable amount of money ... when a person plays other games also ... if you don't get some hits during the month.

Instead of playing all the Mega Ball numbers ... I play only the three top or best Mega Ball numbers ...

3, 7 and 15 with the extra dollar ... you can usually get a few hits that way for only $6 spent and you may get some 4s and 5s for a nice hit and you may have a month with several hits.

I have five numbers that I sometimes play or I just get quick picks to go with the 3, 7 and 15 ... which at this time are the three best numbers.

I almost always just buy one line for each jackpot game here in Tx. I've been tempted to buy 15 tics with all the mega balls for MM, guaranteeing I will at least win back a buck, but I end up with just one tic.

I play $3-$5 a day on Daily 4 though.

I agree with you on the Pick-5 and Pick-6 games(PB MM) which there can only be one jackpot. But for games like Pick-3 and Pick-4, it's all about the wager since it's not a jackpot..

The lottery can only be won with one ticket, I mean, it can only be won with one line, no matter how many lines-tickets you bought only one will win, unless you bought duplicate lines (Tickets).

A Florida player bet $184 on 715, it hit, but he lost the tickets.

$10 is the bravest (stupidest) I get. Only once in a great while.

You can play that way for 2500 drawings and still win $25,000, but once in a great while is even better.

I play $5 straight on the same number on Daily 4, sometimes $10. A hit for $10 would win $50,000. There are some hardy (brave? foolish?) souls out there that will bet $100 or more straight on a number to win $500,000 or more.

That won't be me! LOL.

You are right that the same set of numbers do not repeat often. But whose to say that he didn't have several set of numbers that he uses to win the game. It certainly wouldn't hurt(if I had the money) to spend $1K on a Cash-3 lotto game for a shot at $500K or the crazy shot at betting $10K for a shot at winning $5 Million. No I haven't. Ohio's Rolling Cash5(5/39) doesn't have a roll down, its jackpot continues to roll until someone match all five numbers. In the past it has exceeded $500K before being won.

With Fastasy5(5/37) roll down limit of $555 for a match4, I doubt if it would be worth trying with Florida's game. I don't track that game so I can't run a simulation.

BodP is talking about wheels, their coverage and guarantee's. He wants to match 4 when all the winning numbers are all even or all odd and the game is rolled down and no one match 5. The combinations he shows have all odd numbers.

100% (18,5,4,5)=285 wheel will match 4 if all five winning numbers are among the 18

100%(18,5,4,4)=664 wheel will match 4 if four winning numbers are among the 18

With Pick-3 or Pick-4, anyone could win more than $1 Million if they know what numbers to pick and play them at certain times of the year. A whole lot better than Pick-5 and Pick-6, as well as MM PB....

I don't play MM OR PB. I don't need that amount of money. Yes, I'd give pretty much all of it away if I won it.

I only play Missouri Show Me Cash and Mo Lotto. Plus pick 3 4 here and there. I play three lines one night a week for Show Me Cash when it gets up over a 100K. I play Mo Lotto Twice a week with two lines but only cause it gives a you a free line.

I don't spend alot and some day I may win, or I may never win but I gotta try at least.

It's not about worrying about not winning but knowing what one should expect to win by purchasing more tickets and then decide how many tickets are necessary. Buying 15 MM tickets can guarantee one of those tickets wins if all 15 bonus numbers are used and the odds of one ticket winning the $50 prize is now slightly better at 766 to 1. The odds of winning the jackpot is now a much better 18,492,204 to 1.

It's funny that recently, I marked a MM lottery card with the numbers:

2-22-23-43-45 +12

My mom played those numbers for the recent drawing and got 3 matching numbers plus the Megaball. Had she put in 9 and 11 in place of 43 and 45, she might have won half of the jackpot. Then again, I marked that card more than 6 months ago and gave up playing MM by that time.

You're correct, but only one MM winning ticket out of 10,720 will match 3 + 1 and those odds are slightly higher than the odds against any straight pick-4 number. It difficult enough beating those odds and when I do beat those odds, I want to play a game where I can collect more than $50.

How do plain on avoiding purchasing one of 10,719 losing tickets trying to win $49

The odds are 9999 - 1 regardless how many $1 pick-4 bets are made. It takes 25,889 MM tickets to 10,000 to 1 odds and 17,522 or $35,044 worth of PB tickets. There are several LP members who said they occasionally purchase 20 or more straight pick-3 and pick-4 tickets.

I just bet $10 ($7 straight and $3 box) on a pick-4 number, but not in the same ballpark with William Harvey, His was a one time bet that paid off and the only real difference between his bet and mine is the amount wagered.

Harvey wagered what he thought he could afford and probably not a big risk at all. I can easily afford to wager $10 and while I can't win $3.5 million on this wager $36,200 ain't bad.

It is good to know that you win by playing Pick-3 and Pick-4. What is good about these games is if a person knows what they are doing they could almost match the starting prize amount offered by their respective state lotteries Pick-5 or Pick-6 games. Although they would have to wager a lot of money and be lucky that their numbers hit within a few days of playing.

I will say that William Harvey was very lucky to have taken a chance on buying $700 worth of Pick-4 lottery tickets with the same

I think that one must choose the game that's right for them. I have 1 set of numbers that habe been played since '86. When the jackpot is high, i will play it twice. That way ifit wins and the jackpot is split, i will get two shares. Greedy, perhaps, but one portion gets invested in a charitable foundation, so that I can enjoy the other portion.

The Florida 5/36 Rolldown can pay a thousand or so for 4 numbers when there is no jackpot winner.

There are 18 odd and 18 even numbers.

A wheel for either would be 100% (18,5,4,5)=285

Or 100%(18,5,4,4)=664

Might be fun for those with the money to burn while waiting to win a jackpot.

I would say betwenn one and fiftye.

If you are going to be lucky then it can just be one.

But a realistic wheel scenario would be a one power number with 24 numbers and a 3 if 3 guarentee.

Of course fifty buks is a little steep, and 24 numbers is kind of a lot, and the guarentte is terrible.

I try to max out my numbers at 16 and my combo at 7. Playing too many lines is more of a panic frenzy strategical approach.

I asked this question when I first joined. You read winners saying that they just stopped to buy a ticket but when they show the ticket there are multiple lines. I believe that the consensus was that people spend more than they are admitting to. The famous 3 Amigos bought hundreds of dollars of tickets, one line at a time from several stores. It did pay off for them.

I have seen people who I know go out and buy over $1K worth of Lottery tickets. Some have won no more than $3000 in total. But here is a story of a man who bought $700 worth of lotto tickets with the same numbers to win over $3.5 Million. It takes a big risk to come out ahead.
