Ouch....I probably would've taken the profit and bought a roll that costs as close to that number as possible, or just spend some of it on more tickets.

The thing about $20 tickets and is that while they have better overall payouts, their guaranteed/minimum payout per roll actually tends to be worse than lower-denomination rolls (36% is low, but not a complete surprise). Well today I traded in my winners and bought another roll. My first roll was from a Winn Dixie and my this roll is from a Publix.

0 - $30

6 - $40

14 - $25

17 - $25

18 - $30

22 - $25

24 - $25

26 - $40

28 - $30

33 - $25

34 - $25

35 - $40

Total winnings $360

My thoughts right now are to keep the $70 profit, and take the $1,000 to buy another roll. You can't win if you don't play right? I was willing to take the chance on the first roll of not winning anything big and losing half my money. So since I got my money back from that roll, why not try another one? Someone has to win the big prizes, lol

Good for you for giving it a shot ... I have also bought some books through the years ... never came out ahead yet.

You were lucky to break even ... the lottery has to make a profit on that game so most books are going to be losers ... with all those fairly large prizes to pay off and then the $10 million also ... and then the lottery profit after all the prizes are covered.

You had some luck going with you ... but you never know, might have really paid off.

I hate to say it but I think Id be kinda mad I didnt win more if I bought a whole roll LOL at least have a !,000 ticket in there with the rest of theose winners

I have bought rolls of other scratch offs in the past for my wife's birthday and usually she gets about half the amount back. I decided to try a roll myself this week. I bought a roll of the $10,000,000 Florida Cash scratch offs. They are $25 each with 40 in a roll for $1,000. I was lucky and got a nice win on #25, without it I would have got about half my money back like usual. Instead I ended up $70 ahead; here were my winners.
