As of this post , its listed on the next budget by our current governor to have state lottery winnings taxed . what rate has yet to be released. If passed by the commonwealth, less players will be in the making here. There are only a handfull of states that exclude state tax on winnings... I think most Pa Residents pay enough on taxes . Budgets are to reduce excessive spending , not increase it . Its a wait and see for this state to take gaming money and tax it, statewide.

Here's why I play every draw, PB and MM.

So far this year there have been 299 ( give or take one or two, my count may be off a little) second prize winners of at least $1 million. 214 of them from PB.

That's worth a buck or two.

I've matched three numbers including the mega ball. My heart started to race when I saw some numbers matching but then it just flatlined when the others didn't match. So close. But at least I seem to be matching more numbers frequently after buying tickets from this new store.

It is the same with pb, except a 2.00 ticket. For the most part, the same states will win the jackpot and second tier prizes.

This is why mm and pb are not very exciting anymore, except if you live in the list of regular winning states. This includes second tier prizes also.

As a former pennsylvanian mainly from philly i can tell you that most of the jackpot winners have come from outside the city, usually from the small towns or rural areas. And thats what i think we are going to see. As for someone from pa here on LP winning it maybe or maybe not. It seems that 3 of the top five states with the most winners have represented in this drawing. NY, Texas, and PA. California and Florida did not get this one. Not even NJ.
