I'm even surprised that these states with very high population don't win more often. Remember, these states spend boatloads of cash on these games. You have to be in it to win it.

Here we go again.

If that's the case, Puerto Rico, Missouri, North Dakota (remember the poor farmer that won up there?), and the other states that had winners never would have had any winners at all. If you quit because of the crazy odds, that's understandable. But because you think it's rigged?

Simple math...the more tickets that are sold in any geographic area, the better chance of the winning ticket coming from that area.

Stopped playing PB and MM three years ago and haven't missed it. I feel bad for you people who still waste your money on it.

They obviously haven't missed you either because they are still going strong and while CA and NY with the largest groups of players have a fair share of the winners others states have winners too. No need to feel bad for anyone who choose to risk a few bucks and play, these games aren't for everyone.

It's funny, because MM and PB are screwing themselves. Only the most naive posters here think these games are legit --- smart people know that PB and MM are rigged for CA and NY players. The more people figure this out, the less people are going to play these waste-of-time jackpot games. Eventually PB and MM will be obsolete, and they only have themselves to blame for rigging it for the two big states.

rc, i am not really worried about losing a few bucks to an eventual winner. I know we all are taking a risk, I have to live with the decision i make and what i decide i can risk to lose in order to try and win something big. I will never know when i and for that matter you will hit a big score. I just play when i can risk what i can afford to play with knowing i am going to either win or lose.

California is probably glad both PB and MM have been won and reset 'cause now their Super Lotto jackpot is bigger than both of them with better odds which should attract more players. Ohio Classic Lotto is only at $8M and with its odds of 1:14M I'm leaning toward playing it for a while until MM and PB jackpots build up again.

I gave your statement about us losing money to the winner a lot of thought, and while it's accurate, it really doesn't matter. It's how jackpots grow. I see some people claim they won't play until the jackpot gets to a certain level, but that how it gets to a certain level. Plus, it's not like we get to pick when we might win. If you're unhappy or worried about losing money to an eventual winner, lotteries are probably not the right games to play.

Oh i am pretty much aware of that raven. I have been at this for some time now. I didn't always play MM and PB and when they depress me i just switch back to playing small and not betting the farm on them . I haven't won anything big as of yet but i just keep trying.

It needs to be other states that haven't had any winners in a few years, instead of the usual places. The more times certain states get the win, the more people are going to quit playing.

Attention all posters, Cali has won last night's PB jackpot. With that win, we can safely assume that Cali now dominates both Jackpot games as the state with the most jackpot winners. It seems like they average about 5 or 6 big winners a year. Congrats to noise-gate and a couple of other posters on getting their predictions right.
