P.S. You can also download the latest version of Hiren's Boot CD ISO and burn it to a DVD and use that

as a means of booting. I aslo think xxclone makes a version that can be ran from windows but have not

tried that method.

I use xxclone and a usb to sata cable. The primary partition should be large enough to handle the

OS plus around 20gb. On windows XP my primary partition is 30gb. Make sure your partitions are

the same size on both drives. I have a usb with mini-XP that I use when cloning. Once I have done

a fresh install on the main drive, including all updates, drivers, frequently used programs like ccleaner

malwarebytes, my firewall, browser etc.. Then I use the mini-xp usb drive and boot the com... [ More ]

Might check into it. I'm using it on one computer and Libre Office on the other.

I took the idea of applying hits by pairs and percentage by position to the game of 2Step. Left side of the chart is the draw versus the overall hit percentage in the entire matrix.

Guys

I partition my hard drives and put the normal windows stuff on C: and everything else in another partition.

Next I clone that drive and use the clone as my primary drive. If something goes bad I can get a new drive

or re-clone the old one and be back up and running in 10 minutes or less. I have 6 laptops that are the exact

same model and the nice part is that I can clone just the windows partition and all my other stuff is left in place.

Not a fun thing Larry. Seen a couple of those.

In my case, almost always a hardware issue like the hard drive going bad.

Hope that's not happening in your case.

I do wish it were a software issue on this hot water heater too. Going to go get another thermocouple and if that don't work, need to win 2Step to get a new one. My neighbor says they have replaced theirs three times in 8 years.

Sorry for late reply. The other night my excel locked up so bad I had to do a hard restart and then went to the blue screen of death so needless to say I'm reloading windows as we speak. Here's a bonus for my failing to make it over....

What we have here is every triple in the matrix and the position it falls in.

DR=Draws; 1ST,2ND,3RD = 3 numbers that make up the triple; FT = total hits in the matrix; 123,124,134,234 are the positions where the triples hit. 123 = the first,second and third position; 124 = first, second, fourth; 234 would be the second, third, and fourth. % is the percentage of the time the triple hits in each position throughout the matrix.

I first leaned Basic on a TI-99 before getting a Vic20 and moving to a Commode64 and then a Tandy 1000. Tandy had a version of PC Basic which allowed me to have a split screen in my lottery program which I had to rewrite for GWBasic when I replaced my Tandy 1000. I even brought a board that expanded my Tandy RAM to 640K which cost more than ten 32G flash drives today.

Nope not ashamed at all I used line numbers in the NEXT statements. Yep. I'm older than BASIC (and COBOL and FORTRAN for those who never knew caveman languages).

I too use line numbers since all my programs were written in GWBasic, but as I'm getting more familiar with QB64 I'm starting to avoid them more when I don't need them.

two 5of5's for my 5-39 in the same week. One in 100 lines and the other in 108, I filtered them both out

filtering down to around 15 lines to play. Hope you purchased those tickets and Keep it up. If your system

Found some mistakes in the counting routine. Corrected those and ran the entire matrix to get a baseline.

Looks like you figured a way to answer dr san's question. Since there are 13,983,816 combinations in a full 6/49 wheel there's not much of an advantage gained by reducing the number of possible combinations using those parameters even if the winning combination is among them. After rereading the post, the parameters for each position changed from the first time to the second time.

198,000,000 sounds about right going by your post (20*22*30*25*25*24).

That would mean 275,000 to 1,650,000 real sets could be made.

I know the number of times all numbers hit in each position for any group of drawings but if I understand his question he want to know the number of possible combinations if the numbers were limited in first position to 01-20, second position to 03-25, third position to 05-35, forth position to 15-40, fifth position to 20-45 and sixth position to 25-49.

The only way I know how to do that is created a set of loops to print out all the possible combinations with those parameters and count them

Write a counter to count the hits by number per positions. Run it against the entire matrix or the draw results. You can format your output to look something like this.....

This is the entire matrix of Texas 2Step. Each number hits a total of 5984 times. What I've done is calculate the times each number hits in a position by that that total. You could also calculate the percentage of hits versus all draws but it would not be much help (the percentages would be minuscule).

example =

49/6

1st place = 01-20 2 'posi ao 02-25 28th position 03-34 4th 04 38

5th position 15 to 42 and 6 [20 position to the 49

Doing so in a diagonal 6 positions in ascending order the draws

1st 01-20

2nd 03-25

The 3rd = 05 35

4th from 15 to 40

5th position from 20 to 45

I went all out talking about how (my) SPs have beaten the QPs hands down in this thread.

Last night for the first time in Texas 2Step, QPs actually beat me.

The winning numbers were 5 15 19 22 BB 8.

I had the 5 and the 8 (albeit 8 was the BB). For some reason I seem to get the bonus ball in my lines. Can't figure that one out.

And the QP had the 15, 19 and the BB 8. Congratulations QP! You won $19! I'll take it. I'm far from even over the last... [ More ]

For Saturday's Ohio's Classic Lotto I ran that program again and it included 47 numbers which means I have to choose from 77% of the possible combinations unlike Wednesday' result which included only 43 numbers which covered 44% of the possible combinations.

On the other hand the other program suggest that five of the winning numbers will hit in their assigned positions.

I may give it another try this week end in spite of the worsen odds. At least spend the $2 I won on a couple of tickets.... [ More ]

MM I play every week I just laugh after the drawings because sometimes it draws number That I don't even look or notice during my studies

That may be a clue for how to use the numbers from your studies. When I come up with a list using the same program for MM I used for CL, the list is about 25 numbers which usually includes one of two of the winning numbers so I use it to eliminate numbers instead. I find each game is unique in how it responds to the data.

Even when you have a program that give you an idea of what the winning numbers might look like, you still have to be lucky and have timing.

I should have waited until the list was about 30 numbers or smaller for that demonstration but I wanted to go in real time to show real results.

The 5/75 matrix of MM has had one particular pattern that has stood out but with only 190 drawings there isn't enough history to take advantage of it.

RJ, I had a quick look at the Canadian 6/49.

There are definitely patterns there! I found 29% were 6U/0D or 0U/6D and another 29% were 5U/1D or 1U/5D. In the 1/5 condition the one that didn't conform was usually the lowest or highest number.

Also, when 6/0, 0/6 happens it is often followed in the next draw by another 6/0, often the opposite. Sounds like Newton's Third Law!

I wrote a program some years back that does something similar. It looks at the last drawing and checked which numbers followed its numbers in previous drawings going in the same direction.

For example Ohio's Classic Lotto(6/49) Monday's results were 08/17/15 - 13 33 37 41 44 49 and all the numbers were higher than the six numbers in the previous drawings in the same position so the program would give me these 43 numbers to put into my positional RNG to pick some combinations.

I gave up looking, I loaded 3-cd's onto a flash drive, had to change the attributes because when copied to a CD

they were all set to read only. Thousands of files. After just a few minutes I gave up. Below is a pic of the files

in just one old lottery program from around the year 1999 or 2000. There are over 100 exe files, lol. Back then

I could only compile code up to 64K using basic. What was I thinking?

I wrote a very similar program back about 10 years ago. I even used the same style of coding the digits.

I will dig around and see if I can find it and post a few pics. What I ended up doing was adding it as a

filter in another program where I could set ranges for each digit. Not sure why I stopped using it but most

likely it was due to the analysis time required to properly set it. It's a good idea I think.

I picked my own numbers too, played 5 lines. Had 3 out 4 but not on the same line and missed on the bonus ball. Point being, after going thru the time to pick my own numbers, a QP won it. Luck with a QP trumped all of us. LOL.

My system is simple. I track EOUD. Was the numbers for each position Even or Odd and did that number go up or down I use excel and pattern recognition. Most times I know exactly what will happen. Other times it's an educated guess. That is why I don't believe luck is involved all that much. If I'm not mistaken we've exchanged emails in the past on what and how I do it..... The lotto that is lol

I've been lucky enough to see a couple. Not some high in the sky light passing overhead at night. Nope.

We had a beach house on Surfside beach, a spit throw from the jetties, which was the entrance to the Port of Freeport at the time.

The mistake they did in Cern is that they don't use numbered ping pong balls for the collisions. I don't know what Hawkins would or could add to that. Eventually a few balls would drop in a raclette and we might lighten some Gletscher.
