The previous 2 draws that I bought 15 tics I had 1+1 each time for $2. I've got all 75 numbers in play and all 15 megaballs in play. Really would be happy to just win the million dollar second prize.

ko57 ... I thank you for pointing out about the # 2 and 3 Cash Balls ... actually those were the only two Cash Balls that I had been playing in early August and for some reason I decided to also play the #4 CB.

With only four CBs ... I guess I should consider playing all of them ... I've been leaning this way but decided to gamble on 3 out of the 4 CBs.

Yes ko57 ... there are the trends with those four Cash Balls ... to save a little money, I have been only playing the 2, 3 and 4 Cash Balls but every so often I get beat by the #1 Cash Ball showing up ... but I could still win the second prize if my five regular numbers would bounce out.

As I mentioned earlier, it's still a new game for me and I may cut back on C4L tickets in Oct or Nov. I was spending $18 (9 tickets) every draw but for Sep I am going to go $24 for every drawing ... there are... [ More ]

The number groups for Mega Millions that I use are 1-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-75.

Looking at the last 25-32 games (MM), 3/8 have 5 groups out, the others 5 have 4 groups out.

In my comment for Cash 4 Life, I meant 10 number groups out (not hitting) the last 10 games is 2. (It's getting late/early lol...

Can I just add a little something to think about ... several months back I was playing the top three Mega Balls with the extra dollar ... 3, 7 and 15.

For now, those numbers seem to be steady as the top three ... I played them with the extra dollar and on a good month, maybe I made a few dollars ... nothing to get excited about.

KO57, i am confused by what you mean by 4-4-4-5-4. Are you saying the number groups are all in the 40's and one in the 50's . Can you simplify your method so i can understand you correctly. Are you saying the first line four groups of numbers were left out, second line 4 groups left out etc.

When eliminating MM number groups, the 70s counted as 1 group, the rest 1-9,10-19, etc. you can choose at least 3, looks like 4 is the norm in the last 25 draws, and while the 70s are a small group, look at the draws with 5 groups out!

Last draws is 1st: 4-4-4-5-4 4-4-4-5-4 5-4-4-4-5 4-4-4-3-3 4-4-4-4-5

Make 3-5 tickets or what your budget allows from the kept groups, maybe 1 or 2 other tickets that might include a few numbers from the eliminated groups mixed in with some of the other gro... [ More ]

An advantage of playing all 15 megaballs is not needing to play megaplier, since match 5 will also be a guaranteed jackpot win.

While some may be thinking what about the other 14 plays, multiplying those won't help much due to payout caps (buried in the fine-print that often is nowhere to be found on many state lottery sites). Playing 15 random lines gives you the same long term probability as playing 15 lines using each of the mega balls. The possibility of not matching the mega ball at all is offset by the possibility of matching it multiple times. If you do either one for a year you'll play 1560 tickets. One way you're guaranteed to win at least $1 104 times. The other way you should expect to win at least $1 on 1 of every 15 tickets, which is also 104 times.

If your play slips allow it, but you probably won't get all 75 numbers using QPs. Ever consider creating 15 sets with 15 lines and each set uses all 75 numbers

we have 20 power ball numbers here. i play a few games when pot is low and when it gets higher i increase the number of lines. i dont play 20 but i make sure no powerball is repeated

For those who don't want to buy 15 tickets, a more economical method would be to apply the probability median. That is, 50% of the numbers will hit at or below their median skip -- so you can play the mega balls below their median, or if you don't want to do the calculations just play the most recent 7 or 8 balls to hit half the time.

Yes you can if the state you are playing in has bet slips that allow that. MA lottery bet slips don't have a qp option at all so you either fill your bet slip all the way or ask the store clerk for a qp. Can be annoying but whatever.

When the jackpot is huge, I may do a similar thing, with the pool #s I used to run at work.

Still, I blow about 130 or so, a month, even w/o those numbers. It's too much for me to think about so I don't.

I play some sets of numbers I've been playing all year, with the tiniest of results.

Yes for fun I play all 15 mega balls with QP, other days I use my own numbers and the 15 mega balls, other times I only play the five games with the mega plier and is $10.

In july I tried this method to no avail I bought 15 mega balls and QP the first five of the fifteen lines and added megaplier to them here in oregon. But I did not win a jackpot the most I won over the two weeks or four draws is $5 with matching the mega ball and that is it. So oregon is not lucky with mega millions I must say.weshar75

The problem with buying 15 tickets covering all megaball numbers is that, even though you are guaranteeing 1 winning ticket with the megaball, you are also guaranteeing that 14 tickets will not have the beneficial effect of a megaball match...

I had been playing just one line with the megaplier, but the last draw and for tomorrow night I played 15 lines and all the mega balls. I don't play the megaplier when I buy that many tics. I got 1+1 Friday so my cost was $13. I just pick numbers from LP's RNG, but I also have two sets of numbers that have all 75 numbers in play that I don't buy tics for but I check them to see how close they come each draw. Have wondered if anyone has bought 15 mega millions tickets for one draw in order to capture every mega ball number? I always buy one ticket with the extra dollar to play with the megaplier so it would cost me 30 dollars if I ever did that. If people have done this do you use all the 75 numbers or would you repeat some and leave some off?
