I would make sure to purchase every lottery type game known to man and leave the losing tickets out on the diningtable. Daily. For a month. And not say a word about it.

They would have to get over it. I work two jobs and I will spend my extra money on what I want. I would understand if I spent money meant for the rent or bills, but that seems a bit controlling.

Exactly!

I'd review my expenditures first to make sure I'm not spending more than I think I am. Then if SO is spending the same or more on hobbies than I am, I wouldn't stand to be told to stop playing the lottery unless SO quit their hobbies too.

I'd probably break up with someone over this issue because I don't need a mommy to tell me how much money I can spend. My bills are paid on time, I have a very high credit score, I obviously don't have a gambling problem.... [ More ]
