Folks who believe a change in draw machines and/or ball sets can affect lottery analysis should be aware that Texas has introduced a new ball machine for the Lotto 6/54 game.

The new machine, which is radically different from the older machine, was used for first time for the 0902 drawing.

No information has been posted by lottery officials, but, the machine is similar to that used for Powerball drawings.

A review of pretest drawings indicates that an older ball set was used.
