Jeez, enough with the groaning and moaning already. Talk about beating a dead horse over and over. So states with the highest population win more than other states with less. What do you propose to do about it ?... Force people in those higher states to stop buying less tickets, or rig the jackpot so smaller states have a chance to win. everyone, no matter how small or big population has to overcome the high odds. the odds are the same if you live in vermont or california. more people win in california because there are more people playing.

Go through this years jackpot winner list for mega millions and powerball, hopefully that will wake you up that it does matter where you live. Oh please, If your State or any of the other States SOLD as many tickets as New York, Florida, California New Jersey, then they might be celebrating too. It's not the State that wins it's the people who buy their tickets there. Your State or others don't have the percapita as others and that's why they win more often. Try goggling statistics for each State you complain about. You just may be surprised what you learn...

Hold it there. If a non winning state that hasn't had a win in years I would definitely be happy about it. Quite simply like I mentioned above, this is new yorks 3rd ( they also had 1 jackpot win on powerball this year! ) jackpot win for mega millions.

Now if the lottery was truly random, the same places wouldn't be winning.

someone in your state won. Keep it in terms of people playing instead of states winning. The

more people a state has, the more tickets they sell most likely. Do you have a hate/hate
